Rain rain rain rain at the end, without actually singing it. Genius! :)

Ren's musical genius on this is amazing. First, by introducing that first vocal bit from Violet's Tale he sets the stage for another storytelling song about generational abuse/damage. And then, even more brilliantly, when the quartet comes in they are playing strains of "For Joe", introducing the notion of su*c*de and foreshadowing what is shortly to come. And then the strings blend that with the Money Game refrain. In that musical moment Ren encapsulates all three parts of the Money Game. The money game is suicide. What a ride this has been. Blessings.

As a mom to a little boy, this broke me. I felt sad and hollow after. I never stopped seeing jimmy as a boy (admittedly the video didn’t want me to, calling him a boy of 40) we do a lot of work with little girls these days. Telling them how valuable they are, and that they can be anything. And I think jimmy’s life would have been very different if a single time, his dad had told him he had done enough, or that he was proud of him. Or had anyone take time to tell him he mattered no matter how much he made. Little jimmy was fast tracked because of his intelligence, so he didn’t even have the same peer experiences that could have helped shape his morality outside the one perspective that, not only led to his downfall, but robbed him of his childhood and meaningful relationships as well. I have to think the gun didn’t go off because I want to see that little glimmer of hope. Is it hopeful? I’ve asked this a bunch, and no one has answered me yet. I personally am not sure, but what do you think… is Jimmy redeemable?

As amazing as this was, I'm even more impressed by the whole "Money Game 3" promotion he did in the week leading up to this video release. I didn't really have the time to get deeply involved in the puzzles, but the whole idea of Ren getting his fans involved in a collaborative problem-solving process and then that wild "livestream" finale was astounding. When Ren talks about wanting to change the world, he doesn't just talk the talk he walks the walk. And utterly briliant promotion for this video and his album; the mainstream music industry will never catch up to this.

Needs, wants and greed has been the decline of humanity. I get closer and closer to my "end of days" and I think I am glad that I will no longer be around when everything has collapsed completely. I kept wondering what will I be missing when people finally "get it"? I don't think I have to wonder anymore. There are still way too many humans that are just greedy. Just like Jimmy's father in this case. Where is the pride in Jimmy by his father with all he accomplished. After the good stuff Jimmy went off the rails and daddy dismisses him and I believe thinks him a loser. I think I know someone like that, selling lies seems more profitable for greedy and green hungry individuals.

I was just in shock after the premiere yesterday. Still haven’t recovered enough to have anything clever to say 😅 It’s not really a song I can imagine putting on to just listen to, but as a full visual performance it is an absolute masterpiece beyond anything I have ever seen. If Netflix doesn’t give Ren (along with Sam of course) a show, then they’re just idiots 😂 This would be a masterpiece in storytelling even if it wasn’t a one shot. It’s utterly mind blowing that they’ve accomplished this.

Ecclesiastes 3 New International Version A Time for Everything 3 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

That, and because honestly, KZitem is kind of garbage to their creators now. Its almost not fun doing it anymore. Which is sad, cause i was passionate. Im trying to search deep inside myself to come back and either keep doing these, or do something different. Either or, at some point in '24, things will be picking back up 🤙 thank you for checking in ☺️ always looked forward to your comments.
