Sounds like it actually knows how to have fun and a coherent narrative. Many of the older school BL I tried were very bland and/or relied on shock value. Wish I could actually recommend any BL VN to you, but this sounds worth a go.

Yeah, this one doesn't rely on shocking scenes. There's some in chapter 3, but it makes sense for the story. Shame you didn't enjoy any older BL, but this one is worth trying for the presentation alone.

Kurosawa Rinko is my favorite writer of LGBT+ anything, hands down. Great review! Chapter 2 is a confusing one for me, because it left me with this feeling of having just witnessed a beautiful love story, moreso than the other two chapters, but I couldn't pin down *why*. Chapter 1 to me is about having faith and sticking to love even as everything around you warps and gets out of control and Chapter 3 was about accepting darkness and giving into forbidden love, even if it means rejecting society but Chapter 2... I loved it but I'm not sure why. Gotta re-read it!

And if you liked Uuultra C (personally I loved it) Hashihime is even better, honestly a masterwork of the VN genre IMO

@@iyxon Thank you. Yeah, I still need to read Hashihime. Must be pretty awesome if it's better than Uuultra C. Kurosawa Rinko handles LGBT topics better than most. Hope their stuff continues being translated.
