Very beautiful video Miguel! Now I'd like to point out something: it seems fair to me to say that most climbers (me for sure) are affected by the turkey-legs syndrome... and even though pretty much every climbing gyms have at least a small box/powerlifting type of section, I have never found any legs specific machines to compensate the climber's deficiencies, such as leg press, leg extension, leg curl.... Gobble gobble gobble!!!

Haha thanks Paolo! I HAVE seen some leg specific machines in some of the larger gyms in the USA. I'm specifically thinking of The Front in Salt Lake City and Vital in Brooklyn, NY. But you're right exercising our legs would help with the turkey leg! Gobble gobble!

Great video! You’re funny on grades - truthfully when you look at clearing the gym of one grade set for all problems, that’s where it all balances out? Subjectively, there should be some soft then hard - like that V5. I also love the member perk of 24 hour access and I was there at Oceanside from 9 pm-2:30 am and 11 pm - 3 am July 4th weekend. Maybe a future video, try and see if you can flash all one grade at or near your level? So flash all V5 or V6 since you climb V7-V8? Drone shots were sick!

Haha yeah, grades are a funny thing in general. Most important thing is having fun though. Maybe I'll try that at the next new gym that I go to though. Looking forward to your night sesh vids!

@@MiguelClimbs true-always about fun! 🤘 I tried once to clear the “soft V3-V4” (orange) 😆 several years ago when my now college daughter was on the Vital Climbing Team. I flashed 13 of 15 of them and missed both by a simple foot misstep. I have a couple night time shorts out, but may do another one as I just found out one I did in Carlsbad is now a V6. I’m working on video of another pinchy V6 to be out by tomorrow. 😆

Appreciate the commentary on the styling and architectural features of the building. Great climbing, new gyms are way too fun and can be overwhelming if you pump out and don’t rest!

Love the look of that gym, and to be fair most gyms don't spread their v2-v4 range out over 2 distinct difficulty tiers like the Refuge does.

Hey Miguel, I've been away from KZitem for a bit, unfortunately, but I'm glad to see you're still busy. Love this gym and added it to my playlist. I really enjoyed seeing how your videos have evolved since the last time I watched you. Quality was always good, but it's gotten even better. If you make it up to the Pacific NW, let me know, and maybe we can go climbing together.

Pretty cool gym, I stopped in a couple months ago when I was in town. They definitely need to use that big fan above the cave more often cause it gets way hot back there.
