Vitamin B7 plays an important role in the body, helping to turn food into energy, and aiding in the development of healthy hair, skin, and nails. Deficiencies of this important nutrient can have serious consequences for your health.
So how do you know if you’re not getting enough vitamin B7? Some of the most common signs of a B7 deficiency include thinning hair and hair loss, red and scaly rash around the mouth and eyes, depression, fatigue, and digestive problems.
Fortunately, getting enough B7 is usually quite easy. Eat foods like nuts, eggs, beef liver, salmon and dark leafy greens. Many B vitamins can also be taken as supplements.
But it’s important to always talk to your doctor before taking any new supplements, especially if you’re already taking medication.
