My husband and I were on one of the last flights out of Mexico before they stopped flying because of covid. We spent hours a day on the beach. There was a very sick family on the plane beside us on the way home. A week later, we got sick. Totally agree. In 2017 i managed to walk into a small wall in Ibiza whilst on holiday and badly cut both shins. I was putting olive oil on each day and it had gone in a month, which for me as type 1 diabetic was remarkable, those cuts would have taken at least 6 months in the UK to heal, or maybe even more as i am a slow healer. I thought it was the olive oil that was doing the trick so continued back in the UK with no real improvement. I realised that it must have been the sun exposure i got whilst on holiday that did it. I've now bought a walk in vertical sun bed with 48 tubes, like those in salons for the UK winter time. We are lucky if we get 1 month of sunshine here in the UK.

When our nutritional labeling started using "Daily Value" based on a certain caloric intake, both of which can change and have to be further calculated, labels were made far more complicated than they need to be, and generally the people pay less attention to nutritional labels. The USRDA system was easy to understand & easy to set up a nutritional plan for anyone. Most people would make sure they got 100% of the USRDAs a day, and perhaps took supplemental vitamins, or ate certain foods to fill in gaps, that were easily calculated, based on a percent of what was recommended daily. The RDAs were changed when evidence showed that there was a higher or lower need, but by and large stayed the same, and is still a standard many use in their homes today, yet without the help of the labeling, other than the actual mgs, mcgs listed. We need to toss the non-user-friendly "DV" system and go back to the USRDAs & IUs. Why add a layer per a calorie intake that is hardly realistic for so many??? Labeling needs to be kept simple! Base nutrients on a 100% of what's needed by most again! Most people don't use the DV system and it's not user friendly at all! I even noticed RDAs are still being used in your presentation! Perhaps we can get the FDA to return to the USRDAs on nutritional labeling again. The Daily Value labeling is not helpful and is unnecessarily confusing for many.

He said 6 to 8000 IU international units a day. Do a conversion of this to mg, and you will see it is a tiny amount. 10,000 IU of vitamin D is equal to 0.25mg. That is 1/4 of 1 mg. Consider that to amounts of vitamin C. People take that in amounts of 1 gram upwards a day. That is 4000 times more than 0.25mg for the vitamin D.
@jezzyby47

The point i was trying to make was that maybe they decided to use International Units as a way to scare people off. You've got to admit, 10,000 of something sounds more than 0.25 of something? Sun is very important, and most people don't get nowhere near enough of it.

@@pohkeee it´s human arrogance to think it can copy nature, that it can make isolated products that will have the same effects as natural food, which came together with thousands of other elements for thousands or millions of years. There is a reason, why they grow and survived, and these reasons will help us, under the condition that we are healthy enough to absorb them the right way, together with other elements. We live in a greedy society, everything is motivated by greed, everything, and the suppliers are allowed to lie about the effects of their products in their advertisements, and the scientists are allowed to make conclusions on false hypothesis along badly executed experiments, the doctors are obligated to give only solutions of chemical products, the speakers are restricting your field of view to what your want to hear, based on your orientation an biaises, and theirs, by leaving things from divergent orientations unsaid. It is really irresponsable to suggest supplementing vit D. without talking of vit k2. The only thing I agree is that human chemicals may somehow help periodically and locally in a real sick body caused by human chemicals bombs, but the body cannot deal with bombs for years, and will never fully recover with a way that made him sick in the first place, an improvement on one side will be followed by a deterioration on another side, requiring more chemicals. It´s an incredible tactic based on a hypothesis to pretend the required vitD is so high that we can´t have enough and have to buy some, same goes for a lot of thresholds, either to high or to low to make large parts of populations fit in, like cholesterol, iron, calcium, vit C, B ... and it is extremely condamnable to use the tactic of fear to make people obeyant. In fact youtube has become a gigantic territory of hidden advertisements beyond obvious advertisements, by fear mongering to make profit of people. Yes, I´m shocked how old and sick people of my age look and are, compared to me, it´s almost a 2o+, how many supplements and pills they think they have to take, when fasting, exercising, resting and finding the best possible food is all that is required. I´m shocked of their health expenses, when a good health is really cheap, starting with limited sugar, alcool, proteins, calories, cleaning products and cosmetics, and no tabac. UV-C light by Eden Park Illumination and Ushio. UV-C is less dangerous to the skin. (not cancer causing) but does clean an environment. I live in Palm Springs, CA sun is good.

UV-C has no effect on cholecalciferol production in the skin and it is only less dangerous in that most of it is filtered out by the ozone layer.

There is only one way to find out the exact amount of vitamin d3 needed for each individual. The value of the parathyroïdhormoon should be between 15 and 25 Is the value between these numbers? The d3 it's also fine

Well, that hormon tells you when you have enough of D3 for absorbing calcium. But if you want to know you have enough of vitamin D for immune functions and other things not related to calcium, you should meassure the level of 25(OH)D.

I think they do it in International units like that to scare people off. They think OMG, i'm not taking 5000 of anything, that is way too much, especially when they see the RDA being about 100 IUs and in reality it is a stupidly small amount. What made me realise was i saw someone doing vitamin injections of 600,000 IUs of D3 which i thought was a lot, so i checked. You would need to take 60 x 10,000 IU tablets to get that amount, but as you can buy 365 x 10,000 IU tablets for less than £10, and those large amount injections cost upward of £100 i realised what was going on. If you live in a rainy place like i do, just buy a sunbed, they are pretty good these days compared to when i bought my first one in the late 80s. Sun is essential for healing of everything, that's why we are on lockdown, to prevent us getting any.

Dude stop talking about synthetic, non-natural supplements and talk about getting your butt outside everyday for 2 hours in the bloody sun. THAT is the natural way to produce vitamin D. We simply stay inside TOO MUCH and slather sunscreen which inhibits vitamins D production. And we take too many showers! When vitamin D is produced in the skin, naturally that is, it requires about 24 hours to be absorbed from the sebum glands into the blood stream. Taking a shower with soaps and detergents destroys this whole process. This video makes sense but stop talking about the synthetic pill shit. Talk about that big yellow thing in the Sky that Earth gave us for FREE. You saying 2,000 IU a day pill form? Dude, you can make 10,000 IU in 30 minutes being in the sun
