I am very fit and athletic and consume 95% of my nutrients from animal foods. I eat beef liver and cod liver oil a lot and my skin is great except for my scalp. My scalp is always dry. I must not be absorbing these nutrients enough. I barely drink alcohol. I’m going to get some bile salts and see if this works. Dry scalp is literally the only thing left I’ve been trying to resolve!

Yep, other than MTHFR a polymorphism in the FUT2 gene severely dysregulates digestion impeding absorption, I know as I have it. I've spent the past two years healing my body, grass fed beef liver and bone broth, home grown veggies and also prolonged fasting has made the biggest difference.

Have faced this... Have cut out gluten, and other grains and lentils (have to cut out peanuts) and sugars of course on keto, but also have realised and cut out dairy (except for grass fed butter and ghee). The casein protein in dairy is usually inflammatory for those with malabsorption issues.

Haddock liver Have you ever heard of haddock liver? Or have you ever bought it yourself? You just buy it in the supermarket and it comes in a can. It is in the supermarket next to the other cans of fish like sardines, salmon, crab and tuna. Today, haddock liver is also sold as cod liver. (Then only some smoke flavor has been added). Haddock liver oil contains per 100 grams about twenty times (20x) the highest amount of vitamin A. And ten times (10x) the highest amount of vitamin D. The canned liver contains 42% oil, so one must not exceed 100 grams of haddock liver per week eating in your own oil. Vitamin A is important for the eyes, growth, resistance and healthy skin. Vitamin D provides strong bones and teeth. Fish also contains B vitamins such as B12, folic acid (B11) and vitamin E.

Good morning Dr. Berg can you please explain to me why some woman lose their hair? Is it genetics or stress? I really appreciate your informative videos, thank you so much. Peace blessings and love Doc!😎
It can be a rise in testosterone. As some women get older their testosterone rises causing a little bit of baldness and facial hair (sometimes just a few hairs on the chin). This problem can be genetic.

I have had oily hair since I hit puberty and I am 65 years old now. My hair is so oily that I have to wash it every day. It looks like I haven't washed it in weeks if I go longer than 30 hrs without washing. My forehead is also super oily. I have also had acne most of my life, although it is intermittent as I age. I will try taking more zinc and see if it helps. I have been doing Keto for 7 months now and the oiliness has not changed at all.

My hair breaks off at the crown! I am so healthy, fabulous diet, by your standards. Digestion is great and I'm very active. I eat loads of leafy greens, fresh from my garden, wild Alaskan salmon and fresh caught mountain trout.. My skin is amazing, I look at least 15 years younger than I am. Yet, my hair breaks off at the crown. The rest of my hair is great. The crown isn't thin like male pattern baldness, it's thick, but broken off at 1/2". For years! Before menopause and after. No heat, no chemicals, no commercial products. I get every nutrient, every day! Keep the sun off, sleep with a silk pillow case, keep hydrated.... What the heck??

@@Catherine-xf3pc No, I pretty much keep it in protective styles; mostly tensionless two strand twists. I only wear it open for my gigs. I have a silk pillowcase for sleeping. @Binish Bhojwani Thanks for asking. The hair at my crown is growing un nicely now, about 3" long. I was patient and realized that the hair follicles had to heal 1st. The rest of my hair has grown more vigorously. I'd been a vegetarian for decades. I think adding eggs to my diet for choline and getting the iron and vitamin A as retinol from chicken livers helped. Also high quality fish like wild sockeye salmon, sardines and herring with omega 3 fatty acids. Still don't eat beef or pork. Keeping my hair moist with water mist was also a biggie. I think the crown growth will finally catch up with the rest of my hair this summer My health is still great. Now I'd like to have my eyesight improve so I don't need reading glasses.

Tried all your recommendations - the healthy keto, fasting, taking supplements for DIM, Zinc, digestive enzymes and Vitamin D, and using completely additive-free shampoo. Also tried simply not washing hair for prolonged periods. Nothing helped. Every day I wash my hair in the morning and by midnight it looks like hair of an average person who has not washed for 2 weeks. I am sad that I cannot beat my inherited genetics....

Friend, And when I coincidently ran into my childhood friend at this wedding I noticed that his hair had gone from being stringy , to being very kinky , At first I thought that he had dried his hair under some very high heat levels??; And after talking to my old School mate I came to the realization that his hair condition was a product of his diet; Definitely sux eggs as compared to what it was; So in that type of situation, I assume that his hair would eventually return to what is normal for him, Provided that he changed his diet up and then eventually the healthy normal hair for him Would grow out and replace the damaged hair??; Although I’m pretty sure that the replacement process would take in the neighborhood of a year??; Any feedback would be appreciate ; Good health everyone 👍
