Tamás Vitray is the guest of the 28th edition of the Friderikusz Podcast.
The most prominent figure in Hungarian television started his career in 1958, and in the more than 60 years of his career he has broken all records for quantity and quality: for example, MTVA's archive contains 4,000 of his programmes, and there has hardly been a TV genre or sport that he has not been involved in, covering a total of 21 Winter and Summer Olympics.
He has written 15 books and received 27 high honours, including the Kossuth Prize in 2005.
He was a lecturer at the University of Theatre and Film Arts and a perpetual member of Hungarian Television, was dismissed from Hungarian Television in 2009 by the Vice President of MTV, Balázs Medveczky.
This interview, summing up an unparalleled career, is published the day before Tamás Vitray enters his 90th year. On this occasion he also makes an important announcement.
Long live Vitray, in strength and health!
