THAT is the way Vivaldi should be played! Absolutely divine, and even better with listened to with higher class headphones. Been listening to classical music fo 80 years; we always had classical music in our home, father like it and therefore, I got introduced to music appreciation, very early in life.

Thank you for sharing real music. Hard to avoid the trash posing as music that is built on destructive lyrics, childish rhymes, and factory noises. Never have to mention it by name. Everyone immediately recognizes it.
@awtistiaeth4699
You poor chap Kevin. If you instantly dismiss music because you think it belongs to a certain genre, you are not connected to music on a primary or fundamental level. When it comes to art and music, selecting and dismissing according to 'genre' is something one should leave behind in one's teens at the latest. There is plenty of mediocre in the baroque and classical fields as well as the pop, techno, thrash-metal, heavy-metal etc., and plenty of skill and creativity in them all as well. Sometimes you have to 'look' for the skill and creativity and it isn't always immediately obvious; furthermore, sometimes I can't find them but others can. Sometimes those that can, show/teach me if I have an open enough mind to try, but then putting effort into appreciating art and music can be so much more rewarding than 'instant gratification' (although that can be good sometimes as well). How do you access music that defies genre? Many musical artists don't see themselves as 'belonging' to a genre and just create freely. Radio 3 (my absolute favourite radio station for music) has a programme on during most Friday evenings, that is called Late Junction (i-player catch-up available for 30 days) that is hosted by musicologists, that is so eclectic, you may find something that is outside your usual listening that 'connects'. I'm not saying you'll like it all and some tracks I have to listen to a few times to 'access it', and some confuse me completely, but I enjoy the challenge. Occasionally, a track on the programme disturbs and unsettles me and is an almost unpleasant experience, but like a well written book or a 'dark' piece of art, I accept that was the composer's intention; art and music should express the full range of human emotion. If you want to avoid what you refer to as 'childish rhymes', try accessing a 21st century folk band called Spinning the Wheel. Some of it influenced by 15th century English poetry apparently (not my area of knowledge). I suspect that ordinarily, you would listen to it for about 5 seconds and dismiss it as being "childish rhymes and factory noises". Now I'm not saying you should like this music, I'm still learning more about them myself, but I guess I'm trying to show that instantly judging something because of a narrow and highly subjective view of what constitutes 'music', is actually quite narrow-minded and self-denying. If you ever get to read this, I hope I haven't come across as too confrontational. I'm Autistic and my excited exuberant approach to life can make me a little clumsy when expressing myself. I genuinely want everyone to open their mind to all forms of music and gain from the therapeutic benefits of doing so. Diolch.

There's pretty music that trills up and down, and there's great, where every note is essential to the masterful piece, nothing is there to fill up the time, as if Occam's Razor had done its work, leaving only the pure essential.

Mary Sinclair - I am ensconced at home due to the coronavirus. Amazing how this music has transported me to another place and time. Vivaldi is much more than the Four Seasons, although that work is transcendent as well.
