Hey, thanks Cedric. I walked past Vive many years ago and thought it looked promising. Now that I'm going back to Hawaii within a year, I think I'll give this hotel a go. At night, were you disturbed by noise from dumpsters being emptied at the nearby restaurants? When I stayed at the Holiday Inn Beachcomber (now the Outrigger) I was woken up 3 or 4 times every nite by that. It's the reason I shifted to hotels at edge of Waikiki..

No problem! Glad it was helpful. I personally didn’t hear anything at night.

Thank you for the walk through! I was thinking of booking my stay here but just had a few questions. First off, may I ask what website you booked your stay through? Secondly, did you pay a resort/amenity fee and if so what was the cost per day? I'd also like to know if you found the area central to everything including the beach and shopping? We're not planning on renting a car so I was wondering if this hotel was in a prime location for tour pick ups and drop offs? Lastly, did you feel safe while staying here? Would love to here back from you!

Reserved it on booking.com. I don’t recall if there was a resort. I would say that this isn’t « central » but it isn’t far (few blocks). A few of blocks away from the beach as well. It was pretty safe. the more « central » locations will have the most activity and life around giving you a sense of a safer atmosphere. If central is what you want look near the international market place.
