Andre Johnson I danced on Soul Train here in Chicago. The building was at 141 w Jackson. Channel 26 aired episodes on Saturdays. It's a shame that no episodes were taped.

When graduated in 1984 i told my cousins and friends i was moving to California to dance on soul train cause i already had a Aunt that moved to LA in 1980. But i never left Michigan, but i know a soul train dancer from Detroit i saw him in 2010 his named Lorenzo he was on soul train 1987-1990 he was a good dancer and always throw his leg behind his head. He also appeared on star search in 1986 and one of Janet Jackson videos.

Yes Soul Train was the stuff back then, alot of us could not go outside on Saturdays until we watched Soul Train. We learned our dances from Soul Train and we got to hear out popular songs too !!! I loved all the Soul Train dancers!!!

I recently watched “Set it Off” and Viv was so intense in that role. So much sex appeal. I’m impressed with her career and knowing she had the sense to branch out and not wait on mainstream Hollywood to put her on. I’ve heard she’s a really sweet lady I wish her the best.

I was featured with Mr. Don Cornelius twice on the Scrabble Board and I got the privilidge to be apart of the Soul Train line plus was always featured on small clips here and there!!!

Now rather Don was in charge or not, l'm saying Clint Gent is who l first saw as the Host on Soul Train in Chi-Town on Channel 26 then Don became the Host after Clint, l heard the reason why Clint wasn't any longer on there but l have forgotten it's been so long.

Those were the good ole days! Waking up on Saturday and watching cartoons. Then 11am came SOOOOUL TRAIN!!!😎😎👏👏I was born in 1982 so I didn't get to see her on the show.

Love that silver baggy dress. If 80's styles ever come back, I'd wear that! I loved watching Soul Train. I grew up on it.
