This video captures two high-tech, innovative and interactive Hampi installations created by Vizara Technologies Private Limited, a tech start-up working in the field of AR, VR, AI and 3D printing technologies, focussing on heritage preservation in digital space. These installations were showcased at a Special exhibition at the National Museum, New Delhi, as part of the 1st International Heritage Symposium and Exhibition (IHSE) 2020. They were created as part of a project done under the aegis of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), GoI.
The exhibits are technology-enabled, mixed reality installations with 3D printed, fabricated, true-scale model of two temples of the erstwhile Hampi - the famous Vittala Temple located in its Sacred Center and the Ramchandra or Hazara Rama Temple located in its Royal Center. The Vittala Temple replica is a room-scale model 3D fabricated (part 3D printed) at a scale of 1:14, and the Ramchandra Temple replica is fully 3D printed at a scale of 1:43 from laser-scanned data of the site provided for the project by the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST). The replicas has been enhanced with Interactions such as Holographic projections of erstwhile Dance forms in Hampi; Simulations of sounds from Musical pillars at Vittala Temple, Hampi; Virtual walk-through using a game controller, AR apps showing social life reconstructions and guided tours in Hindi and English.
Children and Visitors at the exhibition have enjoyed the technology enhanced, interactive displays and their testimonials in our visitors' book speak of their excitement and engagement. There are 4 other Indian monuments for which Vizara has created similar Mixed Reality installations. The full exhibition showreel can be seen here : • Vizara's Digital Herit... .
