Totally Normal, thank you so much for giving the X3 a try and creating this super cool video review. It means a great deal to us to have something like this created to better inform others of what options they have and what the ROVI X3 is all about. As a small token of our appreciation, we are going to send you one of our ROVI USB Connectors, which is a complimentary accessory that comes in every ROVI X3 owner's manual and it allows the owner to charge their mobile phone from their X3's batteries. Thanks again!

All of the seating option are great but turn signals, brake lights etc. are gimmicks for sales, same with the control options. And yes it is front wheel drive that looks like mid wheel. And I can’t stop noticing most power chairs are too heavy and one wrong move and you sink in anything other than a hard surface, again attempting to keep us inside. I will be much more critical in my up coming reviews as I have 30 years in fabricating and composite manufacturing. There is no reason to make these chair weight 3-4-500 lbs. Can we say aluminum? Skip the steel it’s not needed. That’s my rant for the day have a good one and stay safe

I have tried four different standing chairs, and this is the one I have come back to for a second trial. In fact I have ordered one and it will soon arrive. I found it. Had the best ride on bumpy gravel laneways, and the best steering on a cross slope. Front wheel chairs like the permobil c500 don't track well on a cross slope. This also turns around more easily in an elevator than a front wheel drive wheelchair.

they do look very similar! there's a couple differences hiding in there though :^) for one, it has the bigger batteries, and they're arranged in a line, front to back instead of side by side which allows for the extra space they need. also the way the front suspension connects to the motors, and the frame, is pretty unique.. first looking at it when the wheels are removed, it doesn't make a lot of sense - BUT when ya see everything moving around, it all makes sense - its SUPER simple, and results in much more stability. I wish i had more time with it to do a proper range test, run up and down some hills, and in and out of my doorways etc.. for the record - the ride quality on the Q6 E2 is pretty good as well :^) just wish they could have crammed some bigger batteries in there! LOL

Look forward to hearing from you.

I currently have a Permobile M300 and love all but one thing about it. It's a boat... Well and suspension could be better. I've considered the Rovi in the future because of its small size. I'm 5'1" 95 lbs. Are there any others you wound suggest considering that are about the Rovi size or smaller yet have a lot of functions like Tilt and recline and are just as good or better in your opinion? Most pediatric chairs I can fit too as I'm a 14 to 15 inch wide seat. I live my M300 but really would like someting more petite in the future. Also I have a connective tissue diseases so not being whipped around line crazy going over bumps is another bug bonus. The unit other ive seen that may be a competitor is the new Cheelcare chairs but their still only sold in Canada at the time. You look like you would know more about what's out there I may not have considered though. Thanks in advance!

hey! the mid wheel drive chairs are pretty universal and easy to use.. BUT i prefer front wheel drive chairs for indoor use. you can get into tighter spaces, and thru narrower doorways easier. My 4Front works well - although you do have to get used to the MASSIVE rear castor wheels! takes a little getting used to - but i still prefer front wheel drive for day to day use. also the suspension on the 4Front is really good! I'll be doing a full review on the 4Front within about a month or so, after i get some miles on my new one :^)

@@chrisfitzchrisfitz5182 The 4Front is made by Quantum. It's a pretty good chair, but I'd wait a few months and hopefully they'll have it upgraded with the gyroscope by then, that keeps the chair from fishtailing at high speeds. Right now, it drives well with tracking, but I'd wait a bit. BTW, the Rovi is a well-built chair. Very durable. And in my opinion, will give Permobil a run for their money.

i respect your review highly. with that being said, i'm going to make my decision off the answer i get. at the end of your review you stated that you would get the rovi for your next chair, and never mentioned permobil.another question is which of the chairs has the better light package. which chair would you choose soley on opinion. and does price dictate your dicision.
@TotallyNormal-
6 жыл бұрын
the only thing that makes me question getting a rovi, is they don't offer an ACTUAL high speed motor package..(7mph or over) but that's just me. the suspension is amazing, it looks great, works great - wheelchair lighting packages aren't very good on ANY brand lol. in the video i kinda shine the lights on the wall, and you can see them in a brightly lit room.. but i always install my own lights. I realize that doesn't help your decision.. but i like the looks , and really like the seating on the ROVI - motion concepts really makes good stuff! assuming all the right options get spec'd out, and proper add-ons etc, id probably take the rovi over a permobil if i had to choose myself right now. (unless i could get a permobil F5 - but i know thats not gonna happen-the F5 is way more expensive than the F3 or M3))

Totally Normal it's a shame. they don't migrate to lithium. Lot of electronics, I asume stronger motors, actuators, that's big bite for group 34 and a decent range. Many chair manufactures will offer chairs in 150 colors, many cosmetic options, custom desired everything, wheel hubs, fenders, lighting... but never offer lithuim. Lithium is just a fraction of the price of their already astronomic prices and it will last 2000 cycles or 10-14 years. But not, they want to keep us close to aways buying something from them. Tomorrow I'm receiving set of group 34 MK's and I didn't happy at all. I'm working on other chair to convert to lithium one day. Little pricey at the first moment but big benefit for later. Now I will print t-shirt GO LITHIUM :)))
