I think of Sudan is like a coconut. Hard from outside and sweet and tender from inside. Welcome to Sudan, a country with many secrets and rich lost history.

Very beautiful, thanks for sharing. Is Sudan safe? Apparently it’s not a good idea to ride a camel in Giza. My brother in law told me that there were cases of abduction when people particularly female tourists payed for a ride, were taken somewhere into the desert and had to pay a lot of money to be brought back. I don’t know if it’s true or just an urban myth but some of my friends visited Egypt both as tourists and students during their exchange programs and they said that many so called urban myths concerning Egypt particularly Cairo turned out to be true.

Sudan loves you, too. Please, tell people how safe you were. I feel more safe on the streets of Khartoum (a city of >10 million people) than in any major western city. BTW, the pyramids are not forgotten. They are always in our hearts and minds. We always knew them. LOL We just don't like to make a big deal of them. It's the Western Media that told the rest of the world that the pyramids of Giza, Egypt, were built by Europeans. So, how come there're an older ones deep south? Funny, ha.
