I think there are a lot of things I think will go away for hygiene reasons post pandemic. I am a teacher & our water fountains were sealed off bc of our protocols when we started the year (We have been in person since August). We had them replaced into the kind you have in gyms & yoga studios (the ones that are just to refill water bottles, no drinking spout). Our head of school felt it was best to just remove the old-style water fountains & made the comment of, “When this is all over, who’s ever gonna drink out of those again?” And I see her point.

Im pretty sure that azelaic acid even in higher percentages is not supposed to make you purge but I’m not 100% sure. My friend didn’t purge for whatever thats worth.(that could also be because his indication for using 20% azelaic acid was NOT acne but rosacea, so no pimples or bumps. I know retinoids generally shouldn’t be used with benzoyl peroxide. But I thought (not certain) that you said in a previous video that Differin gel actually can be used with benzoyl peroxide. Is that correct? I use clindamycin phosphate with benzoyl peroxide every night and I just started using neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair in the morning, but I’m thinking I may start using differin gel and benzoyl peroxide both at night of the can be used simultaneously. And, btw, I love your look with the sunglasses and side braid!

Yes, adapalene is the only retinoid that can be used with bp

Hello Dr Dray, If I've been using Differin for long with great results, no irritation, would il make sense to try 0.3 for more (antiageing) benefits? Also, how sun sensitising is differin? How does it compare to tret/retinols in terms of this?

I've read that benzoyl peroxide can cause post inflammatory hyperpigmentation 😬 I tossed mine as soon as I got my azelaic acid

I don’t think that’s true since benzoyl peroxide is anti- inflammatory...

Doesn’t azelaic acid increases cell turn over? Is it okay to use it with tretinoin if you are already purging with it. Wouldn’t it make it worse?

Dr dray pls help!! Being young and dumb I never used spf, and willing baked my skin every chance I got. I’m 40 now and have what I believe to be damage from the sun on both cheeks. Red Santa like cheeks right on the cheek bone. Nothing has worked to calm the redness. Any suggestions?

You really need to see your own dermatologist. Dr. Dray can’t diagnose a problem without seeing you in person. Your own doc can help you, don’t hesitate. Good luck!

Dear Dr, i'm a bit confused that retinol is known as cell turn over ingredient. In contrast, Azelaic acid is an anti-keratinizing agent, displaying antiproliferative effects . Does they cancel effect of each other?

I bake a lot and buy both unbleached flour and whole wheat flour regularly and you’re right, the bags always leak. I don’t know why they can’t package flour so you don’t get it all over. I live in a hot area and have to keep flour in the refrigerator to avoid pantry moths. On the other hand there’s very little more delicious than fresh baked bread. Yoga with Kassandra has a number of 10 minute yoga stretching videos on YouTude, I do one most days after working out.
