Thank you all so much for being accepting of my very random ~thoughts and feelings~ that I share in car chats. It sounds like you have good therapy somewhere. I've been working on the thought "I have never been someone's first choice." Which may or may not be true, but with these sorts of things, it's often what you feel, not what is objectively true.

For whoever needs to hear this: The best spouse is one who loves YOU, not the concept of you. They will build you up, not tear you down, but hold you accountable when necessary. They will want to continue to learn about you as you grow and change over time, because you are dynamic and NOT static. Don’t settle for less. ❤️

Don’t ever think that you weren’t interesting or good enough for someone else. I am sure your last relationships didn’t fully appreciate you for who you are. They will regret it sooner or later. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Relationships are hard work and always seem more exciting in the beginning. I think it really comes down to realizing what you need/are expecting from someone else to make you feel loved and communicating that well. If they don’t respect you for that, ✌🏼.

Exactly. Men are looking for a short-term play time, some thrill. If that next relationship works out for them that is great. However, women also are looking for fun and exciting men with a personality probably as well. If a man has all that to offer, then awesome... Haha.

Oh Michel, even if it feels like someone was with you because you were "the logical choice," don't forget all the wonderful gifts you bring to the table as a person. It can be hard when the next person they're with is way different from you, but try to remember that that is not a reflection of you. Plus, sometimes it's helpful to look at a relationship through the lens of why YOU chose THEM, because that's the only thing you have real control over.

Michel, you are such a beautiful person on the inside and outside. There is another beautiful person out there who will be the perfect fit. You will both understand why other relationships didn't work out with prior commitments. I always like to think that there is a REASON why things don't work out, even when we really want them to work at the time. I have found that I trusted that God removed me from the person/situation because there was a better opportunity for me out there. I can say that I finally have my dream job, married, house, kids, and dog now that I am 39. Pursuing my master's degree in Integrative Nursing Leadership. I think the part where you were talking about them choosing you because you’re the person they think they should be with you makes perfect sense. My ex and I were talking about this recently and he said that he would have married me because he knew I would be a good wife, a good mother and make his life easy. And then the girl he left me (and our baby) for was exciting and fun. Which is when I told him I wasn’t able to be fun around him. Because he expected me to be a certain way. And he never let me choose what to do, it was always his choice… I think it really opened up his eyes, but it also really opened up my eyes..

This reminds me of the twitter thread about how men don’t marry the person they loved the most, they marry who they are doing at the time and often settle. Obviously a generalization and doesn’t apply to everyone but I’ve heard about it happening a lot

Michel, hearing you talk in your car chat broke my heart because I can relate so much. my relationship before my now fiancé was very mentally abusive and toxic, but I stayed for 4.5 years because it was comfortable and logical for both of us. I knew going into my relationship with my current partner that he would have to deal with what my ex broke and I wasn’t sure he would stick around. Boy was in wrong, he has surpassed my expectations and shown me that if he can he would. I hope you find the same love, respect and cherished feeling that I now have but that I never believed I deserved. I am 28 now and we have been together for 6 years this Monday. The right guy is out there and waiting for you. I’m proud of you. You’re amazing! ❤️

aww I feel like everyone has felt the same way that you experienced esp when somebody leaves in the relationship we usually have this tendency to ask ourselves "am I not enough?" , "what does that person have that I don't?" but in all honesty, it isn't you it is absolutely not your fault you are more than enough! and it just so happens that person never get to see more of you, they never took the time to appreciate you as you are and most importantly they are only in your life temporarily as life is teaching you to become this much stronger, more wiser & an even more beautiful soul so never ever doubt yourself, you are gorgeous! you are beautiful and you are more than enough and always be grateful for what you have because that is how you attract more good things in your life ♥️ love your videos btw!! 🥰😘

Your car talk resonated with me not because I’ve had the same experience, but because my husband of 11 years (I’m 40 and we have 2 kids together) is eight years older than me and came with some baggage. He’s actually been married twice before, and he was so honest and upfront about it and we talked about what happened in those marriages extremely early on. I fell in love with HIM. Not even “despite”those divorces, but because of the husband that they crafted for me. He learned a lot and learned who he was and was fully ready for a lifetime of love with me. I got so lucky with him. The right person is absolutely there for you and will love you for exactly who you are ❤️

Hi Michel, I totally understand the thoughts about a new person choosing you despite your baggage... all parts of you! Not exactly the same as what I went through 6 years ago, with having cancer at a young age, and realizing the person I was with at the the time just couldn't handle it (and didn't want to). I took on the mindset that whoever was meant to be in my life after the cancer was really going to have to choose me and what I had endured... and be able to understand on some level that it would always be a part of my life. I was blessed to meet that wonderful man 3 years ago. So... sometimes when you least expect it, you meet someone who really truly loves you despite the baggage, or even because of it... because you were able to get through a hard, dark time in your life and come out the other side with newfound strength, gratitude, and perspective. 💖

I understand your deep thought completely and I have something to add - I think someone will be so excited to choose you for two reasons, Michel. 1. When you get married at a very young age (which I also did) you are a blank canvas. You don't know you yet, and they don't either. That can go either way, you could both grow in the same direction (like your parents)- or you could grow in polar opposite directions (like your relationship). 2. You have chosen yourself. You are getting to know yourself, you stood up for yourself, and you are blossoming into the full blown version of you. Someone is going to be SO excited about you Michel, they will adore the things that you fear are boring and you will adore them in ways you haven't even experienced yet. I can't wait for you to have that experience.

It seemed like it took forever for this Vlog to come out. I do not know why. It sounds like you are still growing and learning. Which is awesome, becoming the best version of ourselves, is I believe God’s plan for us. Love you girl! Keep being you.

I had a similar thing with my previous exes as well. I finally just decided to not budge on any of my standards even if it made me seem rigid and mean. I figured the right guy would come along and he did! I’ve been married 7 weeks now and things are great! I’m glad I didn’t settle and I didn’t lower my standards for a guy.

Lol Michel I didn't know that having your apartment building surrounded by SWAT & National Guard is a normal day for you 😂😂😂😂😂!!! Thank you for the much needed laugh!!! Oh hey I wanted you to know that I noticed the floor that had the honeycomb pattern 😁. I'm curious what you will think of the Olaplex products after you use them on a regular basis. I recently had my hair professionally bleached & it is 'damaged bad'! My hair was a medium brown with black sections underneath & mixed into the medium brown I had previously had blonde highlights. So going from brown with black to bleached blonde there was some damage happening there. I bought the Olaplex 0 & Olaplex 3 which is helping but it is a process in getting my hair as silky as it was prior. I recently bought the Olaplex no. 8 masque & I LOVE IT!!! If you haven't tried the Olaplex no. 8 masque I think you'll love it too!! *Hey is Brie your friend that had the rocking bangs? I ask cuz I didn't see those rocking bangs on her in this vlog 🙁. Bring back the rocking bangs Brie 😁👍* Prayers & Wishes Lisa Hampton 😃

It's sad that your two exes seemed like they "settled" for you. God has someone so much better for you! There is a man who will think the greatest joy of his life is being by your side and building a life with you. God is preparing each of you for the other. This will be worth the wait 💕

Normal relaxed days and vlogs are great...I like to watch something totally relaxing just before bedtime. And normal does it. My niece Colleen and I would get together. Walk about town, end up at the mall. And just window shop...take our time. Freeze our water bottles so they would slowly melt, and sit in the shade of big old trees, or by the small lake where we live. And enjoy cold water and the breeze. Sometimes it was pizza at the mall...or a trip to McDonald's. Or if we felt daring...buy a box of ice cream bars or pops...and eat the whole box😉. So much fun! Sad to say it ended when she married. And now lives almost a day way from me, even more sad we are no longer friends. She said awhile back...your not my friend but a relative . Oh well, I have the memories. Thanks for making me feel I have a niece to enjoy just normals days again.😊 💟🐾🍦🌷🌸🌷🌸

My heart hurt so much for you talking about your insecurity..but I feel you, ive been there..and it will be easier to find someone that loves you for you now that you've realized that. Many hugs. I wasn't looking for the man that chose me, and here we are 6.5 years later with 2 little boys.

Last November I stepped out of my nail salon to see a matte black SWAT tank like vehicle driving by. It stopped me in my tracks. It was headed to the school shooting in Oxford MI which I soon found out.

There is a problem when buying just grey beautiful luggage that fits us. It’s so hard to find in the luggage return. I put something on my luggage for years under this color or the color black and it’s always taken so I stand and watch for forever. Now I purchase a unique color or a bold color and I pay attention to if it will scuff horribly as they throw it all around. I replaced all my children’s luggage one Christmas and they told me I was the perfect person to choose colors and quality that’s so easy to get the minute it hits the luggage pick up area.

She can put bright stickers or decals on the luggage to make it easier to identify. I did this even though I had an organ he suitcase at the time. Always got something from my travels to stick on it.

@@sheilafarley7120 another great idea. I just don’t like that the stickers get so ruined and start lifting. I have seen a few like this from travelers and I travel a lot. I did for years with work and now for fun.

@@rondastothers472 Same for me! I travelled mostly to Europe and Asia for work and play along with other destinations. I kinda like the the way the stickers start to show wear as it reminds me of the old steamer trunks. I think we both have great travel recommendations based on our travel experiences 😉

I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t be over the moon excited to be with you. You are gorgeous and brilliant and so loving. The people who didn’t choose you or weren’t excited about you is because THEY are boring and lame. It has nothing to do with you. Something that I’ve said since high school and came to in a moment of insight that comes to me rarely is “Only true artists appreciate the Mona Lisa.” I’ve heard people talk about how the Mona Lisa isn’t that great. But those are people who don’t know or appreciate art. I remember walking into the room where the Mona Lisa is hung ALONE and literally having my breath taken away. She is a beautiful piece of art painted by one of the greatest artists of all time. Her worth doesn’t change because some loser says he’s not excited by her. She’s still priceless. It just shows how little that loser knows about art. We love you. You. Are. Priceless. And if you were a piece of art you would def be hung in some fancy museum in one of the most amazing cities in the world taking people’s breath away. ❤️
