This is probably my favorite base of yours yet, lots of good concepts used. The compound especially looks really solid with the two bedroom two gatehouse setup you got going there. I feel like these outside spawnpoints, like bedrooms and flank bases, are usually your best bet to actually defend an online raid. I would probably add some glass windows to the bedrooms tho, with a hammer in the locker to remove them during a raid. Otherwise the raiders can just fire an incendiary rocket in there before you even get a chance of using them. The vending machine bunkers are great, I use them all the time in pretty much every base I build. Easy to integrate into any layout, pretty strong, pretty cheap and very convenient as you don't need to open/close them like other bunkers. Also great when people go deep on you and you leave all the doors open. Instead of the tc, you can also put a locker for some very secure kits or boom storage. I haven't really seen this used online, but you can also use the vendingmachine bunker to build a regular lootroom. Just build a normal square foundation, put a sideways triangle shelf and place your boxes as close to the doorframe as possible, then seal with a vending machine. I usually build the vending machine first, because it's easier to place it perfectly centered that way, then put the door in afterwards. Fitting four large boxes is possible, but getting the placement exactly right can be finicky, so I often just go for two in the bottom and one sideways on the shelf. If you don't have a square available, you can also build a lootroom from two triangle foundations with a container skin triangle staircase as a shelf. The triangle version can only fit two boxes tho. I feel like people are sleeping on this method, my current goto design has eight of these vending machine bunkers, five of them for active use and three just as decoys for the raiders to waste their boom on. The shooting floor seems pretty good, but the roof is kinda meh. I would probably just flip all of the roof pieces around to give you more cover and more space to land a mini. That would ruin the aesthetics of the base tho, so I can understand if you don't want to take that step. Solid base overall, the airlock was the best part :)

Hahaha Yeah an airlock, I’ve caved to the pressure. I wanna hear more about that vending machine thing. I can’t quite picture it in my head. Have you got any screenshots to share? (Yes I may steal your idea 😂)

@@Dukeofboots1 Heyo, I made a quick video explaining how to build the vending machine bunkers. I don't want to link to it here, because that seems to always delete my comments, but you can find it on my youtube channel.

Thank you mate I really appreciate that. Im trying to get some solo bases designed for official servers, so hard to get the balance between upkeep and raid cost right.

Lots of interesting ideas on this one, like the externals that disconnect at the bedroom end, low walls behind metal barricades, etc. I've seen stone barricades used to shield compound shotgun traps.

@@Dukeofboots1 builders like lackii and dust love to use them some examples in the tours of the bases: kzitem.info/news/bejne/24aO2npma4FinYo at 2:23 kzitem.info/news/bejne/sKSJ0IeFapx9eqw 2:09 sometimes you do not need a barricade (in dust's base its a tight funnel and he uses a single door to use them) adding even small funnels can help hugely because you can then have a tighter spot for your large furnace (which takes 5 rockets to break btw) and you place it high so you cant jump through it, which is also shown in the videos one thing i would 100% add to the base is a freehand bunker (which dust used in the video as well) they are very cheap, can be thrown up very early on, and dont need metal for a door and can patch up with stone, just takes a little practice (i have been traumatized by people molly raiding the wooden doors off my externals and griefing) hope the feedback helped

Thanks for this, I don’t usually watch other people (the reason being I don’t want to just copy the META and make bases the same as everyone else) but I’ll check this out, I do need to know these things at the end of the day. So Thank you 🙏
