I love how you brought up how older women are still here doing their thing in country music. we strive to respect our elders and it’s like the older you get, the more respect you have from younger generations. You have knowledge to offer and you do what you do best because you’ve done it for so long. Country music legends are revered and the older the better. Great examples of this are George Jones, Loretta, Dolly, Kenny Rogers, Charlie Pride, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and Hank Jr. You know all the songs and they’re people that the younger generations always look up to and aspire to be. Country music is a family.

You are so right about the CMA's being a big family gathering. And they do treasure their seasoned ladies (more so than the male-Kenney Chesney, Brooks&Dunn, Alan Jackson). It reminds me of how the actors in England are not put out to pasture-they have to work their way up through the various theatres (Royal Academy etc). In reference to the comment on Sara Evans.. She leaned back because of the direction the line was headed. It climbed so she leaned back with the line. As stated, though, leaning in/down into the line provides better support, and something that went unmentioned: leaning in provides a more visual representation of the line "Feet on the ground". Leaning in pulls her closer to the ground itself from a visual standpoint.
