Dimash loves to interact with his fans and get them to sing along. He definitely keeps security hopping, lol. It's such a mutual love and respect. I do love this song and his performance. But, what makes it extra special for me, is that he was still pretty sick when he performed this, and still hit that D8 (actually it was a C#8 to a D8), and then just kept on singing like it was nothing. I think you asked in a previous comment about anyone higher. There is one guy from China who hit an E8, but he squeaked it out. I have no doubt Dimash could do better if he practiced. But for him, the high and whistle notes isn't about showing off. Same with the low notes. These are tools he uses to help convey the emotions that he's feeling about the words. I've read that some Brazilian singer Georgia Brown can hit a G10, but I have yet to see any video on it. I'd like to see it.

Most of us believe that he attempted the usual whistle note he sings in this song and it didn't come out so he tried again to "compensate" and hit this D8. If you see the version from the Singer something similar happened and he managed to continue without letting anybody know. But regardless of it all, look what are we discussing... An eventual fault in Dimash's whistle register ahahaahha he is an 👽!!!

What happened at the end is that he tried to sing his D8 when he was moving his mic with no sound. The voice didn't come out so he turns his head for the whistle tone to happen. There is no problem with the mic

This was the first concert back in his home town after his appearance on The Singer. The stage was set up in front of city hall, I believe, with a large common area in front. There is the full concert on KZitem. There was well over 100,000 people in attendance. If you look beyond the stage lights you will notice countless cell phone lights in the dark. The thing about Dimash, he fills stadiums no matter how large or small. I don't know about you but he is on my bucket list to see him live.

In my humble opinion he missed a note. I've heard this song in many instances with much more difficult melody lines than this one. In this case I think he tried a D6 in mixed voice but it didn't come out, so he decided to do something extra and jump two octaves for the D8. He missed it slightly and ended in a C#8 and then tuned it perfectly to a D8, just mind blowing. When I refer the melodic line he has done in other performances runs of about 20 seconds (from the top of my head) going in mixed voice up to a G6, others with a G7, others with head voice instead of mixed voice, etc.. So the base line when he was younger was with the 20 seconds run, then he changes when he is on stage to whatever he feels like without being out of the piece witch for me is just otherworldly.

In a way it is understandable that some people doubt he is singing live as his voice sounds unreal most of the time and his control over it seems too perfect. Not that many are used to listen to opera singers where it's more common - even required - to reproduce the same notes in the same perfect way again and again and Dimash has this kind of training. And there are so many fancam recordings, compilations of him singing acapella or even without a mike, in a hallway, outside with people around him where you can hear the streght and quality of his voice raw without the sound equipment and music.

With his whistle note, the same thing happened with his Singer performance. You can see that no sound came out when he went for it, so he kept his cool and continued singing. Only those of us familiar with the song would notice.

Dimash primes his highest notes with movements like that; its his way of auto-tuning (himself); or sometimes he might turn his head away from his mic, covering his ear, opening his mouth, and making a kind of soundless scream. He literally primed his vocal cords like one would prime a hand pump.

Stacy Da Costa this is the first I have ever heard that and I have watched him sing his opera 2, his diva dance, sinful passion among so many others. Never have I seen him do that missed sound. Before doing the D8. I have heard some singers doing whistle notes getting at the top of their ranges can sometimes misfire if you will not because they did anything wrong but because going so high it can sometimes just not come out. I have heard that from multiple opera singers. The mic did not cut out, it was Dimash's voice not coming out the first time but singing the D8'the second go round as was witnessed by tens of thousands of concert goers and the videos of concert goers not to mention the video crew. They dubbed it the dolphin whistle. Dimash would have been the first person to set the record straight had it not been him singing the note, it is just the kind of person he his. I believe this is the song Dimash wrote when he was 19. If I am wrong please correct me.

Really Mic feedback which slides from C#8 to D8 then decides to put the vibrato , please give the name of the Mic because he is the best vocalist on the planet . Go check out Dimash whistle register like in the video ( Dimash extreme vocals for male voice ) and check out his video ( Dimash practice makes perfect where you can see him still learning to use his whistle register as he adjusted his mouth shape before dropping an incredible G#7 ) Also to end this doubt some people have just watch the video called ( Dimash singing without Mic the most beautiful voice in the world ) it's almost an hour long acapella like you've never seen before .

The Gakku sound people checked what that sound was and they found it was not any feedback, but that the sound came from Dimash. So I'd say it was whistle register note. Dimash has sang in whistle register in other songs, but this is the only whistle note in the 8th octave, all the other times Dimash sang whistle note (that have been recorded) are in the 7th octave. For example, in the duet with Li Yu Gang "Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance" he sang F#7.

When no sound comes out that's just what is happening. He is going for the whistle but doesn't hit it. I've seen this on a handful of occasions. That's how you know when he is live for certain because he will improvise if he doesn't hit it, but like I said, it's been just a handful of occasions only.

D8 frequency is 4699 Hz. Hearing frequency for young people in good condition is 20 Hz to 20 kHz. When we old, we loose sensitivity in high frequency. Most very old people above 60 year old, only can hear until 10 kHz. So D8 note can be hear for most people, except your sound system is very bad.

This "Gakku" festival took place in September 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is said that the city center was paralyzed on the day of the concert. More than 150,000 spectators gathered in the central square of the city. Many came then only because of Dimash. Dimash performed at the end of the concert and sang 5 songs. It was evident that Dimash was relaxed on stage because the competition in China was behind him. The festival is not a competition, and Dimash was HOME, among his countrymen and DEARS. In the song "Unforgettable Day" he took a chance and sang D8. And before the D8 he was waving his microphone, but we didn't hear the sound. I think it was some ultra-sound that only animals hear, and people don't hear. It is said that Dimash sang D8 - "the whistling of the dolphin" and it was the longest sound of this high note. In the history of modern singing performance, the longest sound of this note. There are singers who take this high note, but for so long to keep it no one can.

He wrote the music, but the lyrics were written by a poet/lyricist father of a friend of his Oral Baisengir, who also wrote the lyrics to "My Swan", another song Dimash sings. There is a Facebook page where Baisengir talks about Dimash coming over to his house with the music. I have no doubt that Dimash chose the subject matter though. Actually I don't think the mic cut out, or that he tried to sing and nothing came out. I don't see him attempting to sing as he is waving the mic. I think he started waving the mic, and then remembered he had just done that, and then decided to whistle instead - sort of like he sometimes replaces that descending run in "The Diva Dance" with a whistle.

Hello, I have been following your channel for a while ..... I love your reactions..... the original note would be a g7 but it did not come to him, the reasons can be various, so I put him on a d8, that is the conclusion that I reach

@@TheVoiceLoveCo No he's human. He faltered on one note in Unforgettable Day the Chinese Singer competition version too. Sometimes it just happens. In that one he went on to do something completely different in head voice. He has performed this song many many times where he included a whistle note usually a G7. The D8 was only heard this once but it was a direct response to a different note he had planned but missed. He was making up for the missed note. He's always about trying to give his best performance.

thanks for your reactions - always top notch! and what Jimmy Wise said below - Dimash's pattern in other songs is to double time to a G7 or G#7 like he did recently with Li Yugang Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance

I missed your Dimash reactions. In your absence Dimash has performed some more masterpieces that put his earlier ones to shame, if you can believe that. You don't have to teach people how to sing like Dimash as he's just vocal perfection. We're happy to watch you enjoying him and discovering along with us what can be done with the human voice!

Dear Christi ,have observed you ,all the way from auz.,from your first encounter with dimash and my latest observation is ,you're either having an usually good day today ,or you've grown a lot freer within yourself, which is great to see . i've deduced this from observing this reaction .[nearly childlike in your ability to enjoy it;it's precious to see] you can embrace and enjoy dimash's performance much more and enter in like i've seen few people do. and because of this you give us more . thanks . have a good one . which is our unique form of "have a nice day"

Dimash sing with his soul, what I’ve heard is that he missed the note before that then improvised with the D8 you can really see his mouth making those sound. And there’s couple different versions of this song without the D8

He usually uses G7 in the moment when nothing comes out in this performance. So I think he tried to sing G7 and nothing happened.. so he got angry and used this D8. I am not a professional musician but from what I hear in Dimash performances he uses his head voice/falsetto up to F6, and all higher are whistle tones Someone did a compilation of his whistles kzitem.info/news/bejne/x46A1YawpmiAmYI

I agree. "Ahhhh, that didn't work so here goes!...D8!" Did u hear what sounds like an audience member whistling a high note about 8 seconds after Dimash's D8? Dimash is AMAZING!!! Here is my Dimash cover: kzitem.info/news/bejne/2mya4IGMkYWYZ5w God Bless, InfoArtist JK, Washington, DC USA

What probably happened was that he missed that note (it didn't come out -- which rarely happens with Dimash), and he did not let it get the better of him and decided to compensate with an even higher note -- a D8!
