She is a true Artist. She dedicates her life to her craft and doesnt live to chase hits. Her music is so versatile and amazing. She could Have easily sang senorita and just gone the easy route but instead she chose to sing a song that means something. A Song that can make impact for so many Father to child relationships

The best part of this song is the story behind it. Camila and her mom migrated to America with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Her dad had to stay back until the visa agreement happened but it never did. He risked his life and swam across a whole river and lived in the wild for months just for their family to be reunited.💗💗

Balling my eyes out. I'm a single man with no kids, but I certainly have family with kids and know what it's like to be someone's child. The concept of this song alone is something unique to me in that I've never even thought that a father is the first man to love his daughter. If this doesn't move you, I feel for you. How utterly touching. Reminds me of Butterfly Kisses from years ago.

I believe the message of the Kelly Clarkson song is fairly opposite to this. This song is about reassuring her Dad that she's happy and protected by someone who deserves her, but also reminding him that he proved to her first that men can be decent. The Kelly song is about Kelly telling the father that abandoned her that she's found a good man despite the example of betrayal that he provided. Frankly, The Kelly song is equal parts righteous anger and sadness, vs. Camila's song, which is celebratory, if also a bit melancholy (because it has this sub theme of her Dad having to let go of her, at least a little bit).
