BAWAL JUDGEMENTAL is a segment on the former GMA noontime show called EAT BULAGA (the hosts move to TV5 is a HOT TOPIC now, Ovela!!!) BAWAL means not allowed so the segment title means being judgmental is not allowed. they have a specific topic for each episode of the segment where they have a contestant and they get people that may or may not fit the category and the contestant will base his judgment on gut feel or how they look or what the general impression of that person is to them. it's very similar to an old US game show called IDENTITY. they have similar formats.

Filipinos love to give unique names to their children. It could be combinations of the parents' names or adding another vowel or consonant to a familiar name to make it different. Some are taken from famous personalities or could be from an element, brand name, or anything. Aside from the traditional Saint names or modern names in either Spanish, American, and local Filipino Languages. The possibilities are endless. However, we Filipinos easily recognize its a Filipino name. There is also the common use of nicknames that is only known to us as term of endearment...

Honestly, we're not really underrated when it comes to our voices anymore because the whole world literally praise us already too much for it, not saying it's a bad thing though. Singing comes out naturally to almost every Filipinos, they just love to sing so much to the point they no longer need practice. When you're with a microphone, you can always pass them to a Filipino and they just almost always automatically just turn into songbirds.

@@joytine6548 hm, that's why I said almost. I live in a church where everyone can sing and all my family can sing, in fact everyone can sing. Some just don't have pretty voices. I love karaoke so I often go to one with a group and I just got used to majority of them being able to sing I guess.

Well if lots of those viral Filipinos became a singer on popular stage or something, the question is who will watch them hahaha just kidding
@JC0820
Жыл бұрын
Well, I would say people who really love music. Because Filipinos don't use auto-tune, and people who love true music don't want to hear a song in auto-tune. The problem is that in the music industry today, genuine or great singers are not the most popular because the media and the market want singers who have good charisma, are good-looking, or are of a certain nationality. Music should be judged through the ears, not the eyes, nor by the singer's nationality. If we look at Filipinos who became world known like Lea Salonga, Arnel Pineda, KZ Tandingan, and Morisette Amon they were really really good but because of the color of their skin or nationality, their popularity is still limited. We Filipinos should embrace our own singers/music so that more foreigners will also explore the Filipino Music industry. I think creating more quality OPM that is written in English will help expose our singers to the world audience because English is a widely used language and then carefully introduce them to the Tagalog OPM. The best example of it is the Bazinga by SB19.
@wilfredomendoza8495

@@JC0820 yes its true, you are on point. Also the problem that music industry faces here in the Philippines is the piracy, cause lots of people pirated songs and movies that lessen the income of the music and movie makers.
