That is a very good song, and believe it or not the Danish parts aren't that hard to understand if you are a dialect speaker from the North of the Netherlands who speaks English too. In written form it is different, but in spoken (or singing) form it is almost complete understandable.

Volbeat ok: If you read the history about Lola then the lyrics are a quick summary of almost 40 year of her life, but she has seen more places than most people now do.

Lola Montez was the most scandelous woman at that time, that is for sure. In California there is a mountain called after her (no joke) Mount Lola.

Yep. But that was after she fled Denmark I believe.

@@TheStefan6969 I believe you're right :) I guess that Hollywood is sleeping, if they make a movie about her life, I won't be surprised that they could make a lot of money with it.

I grew up in Grass Valley where she established herself in the gold country and the history there is pretty cool and “The Lola Montez House” is there. In a weird coincidence, there was a girl she took under her wing by the name of Lotta Crabtree… She became her young protégée. Lotta Crabtree bought a famous racehorse from my great great grandfather, and her trainer began whipping it. The horse never won another race😞 What a crazy place the Wild West was!

Yes, I love Volbeat! Thanks for the reaction. I will listen to this any day, rather than many Dutch artists you did (I am just more fan of the guitars and not so much of og3ne and that type of music, just matter of taste, think it’s great that you listen to all kinds of stuff 👍) they have so many good songs. I really like Room 24 and also lonesome rider (two very different songs)

this is the best Reaction iv seen of this tune coz its so genuine... Lola Montez was a Famous Irish dancer that moved onwards and upwards to the land of the free after her boyfriend was murdered through by her jealous pimp. Later died in America and i believe her tomb can be found there with a Replica stone built in her home town in Ireland. As for your Mary Jane Kelly analysis... your BANG ON. She was JTR's youngest and last Victim. Listen to Marie Laveau by em aswell. Its about the Voodoo Queen.

Never heard a Volbeat song. Don’t know if all their song are like this, but it sounds a bit ‘commercial’ to me. Not a bad thing, but I prefer the more symphonic metal like Nightwish and Within Temptation.

Try some of the other songs, they are really nice, my favourite bands are also nightwish and within temptation and also Rammstein, and volbeat. I find the tone of it very uplifting, I always listen to them during my workout/running. But, I usually skip songs like For Evigt and this one because yes they are the radio-friendly ones 🤗
