I hope it won't worsen. Last night it so loud!! But at least on the eastern side of La Palma where Santa Cruz is situated, no lava destruction there, for which we can be most grateful. Thank you Gutn Tog for this video. All your work is so appreciated my so many!

I hope you both keep safe on La Palma. How long are you intending to stay? This Volcano and the Earthquakes are getting very active and are stated by volconologists to get stronger. I want you and Nina to be safe. God Bless You Both, Leia. 😊💟✝️🛐🌋

Have you met Bushcraft Bear? It would be amazing if the two of you could meet and maybe collab for a video. I started following you during the Iceland eruption and was hooked because of your sincerity and genuine reporting style. Bushcraft is the La Palma version of YOU. :) I truly hope you get the opportunity to at least meet before you return to Iceland. Keep your videos coming and please stay safe. Much love from USA.

my thoughts are that someone is making sure to avoid this encounter. And i completly understand why if that would be the case. It's all about limelight and being in it.

My guess, at night time the eruption munches away at the side of the hole until the enlarged hole becomes able to contain the new material faster than the eruptions can empty it. During the day the pressure is continuing to fill the column as well as incorporating more of the volcano into molten lava. Also building up the back pressure ready for the evenings performance. Which restarts the abraisive munching of the softened side walls, that gets wider and requires more molten mass to recharge it during the day. It's just a logistical theory, Some centrifugal force when the earth rotates on its axis taking the volcano further from the sun during the evening and night, might agitate the shifting earth's crust some more. That would explain a rhythm or cycle, of subdued daytime activity, recharging for evening and night time. If by some chance I were right, it could indicate that the volcano is consuming itself, and at some stage the walls in places could get substantially fragile. Then it's anybody's guess, outward blast of weakened walls or inward collapse. If I were right I would plump for inward collapse, its full of holes now, when they all get to be one big hole, the volcano will consume itself even faster. Any alternative theories would be warmly welcome.

I think they’re keeping roads clear of visitors in case they need to make emergency evacuations. The line of hills is old vents; new vents have been inland from the first one, towards the hills. So there’s possibility of more new vents in the area blocked off.

The volcano noise heard depends on wind direction. When it was loud noise you were down wind of volcano with wind bowing from volcano to you. The wind this night is blowing away from you and noise blows away.
