Great teacher and a great technique! I've tried spiking the way he shows and it works miraculously! The ratio of my successful attacks changed from 2:8 to 8:2. I'm extremely happy!!!

this is very good info. i've always do the big arm swing. something i've been doing since playing indoor in high school. and using it in beach i'm hitting the ball out more often then in. my shoulder always hurts afterwards. I'm gonna have to train myself this new mechanic of the more compact arm swing.

So why not use this armswing for indoors as well? What's the disadvantage? You mentioned having to "bang through 6 people". Does that mean you don't get as much power this way?

+MwueLaFlaga Its more about using your options (hard angle, cut shot, tip, high line) and placing the ball where the defenders are not. The hits are not generally as hard.

MwueLaFlaga Thanks for the question. You can definitely use this swing indoors. I actually developed it for indoors after I injured my shoulder (playing indoors) and couldn't continue using the big swing that I injured myself with. Every few years someone seems to evolve the hitting technique that at the time is thought to be the best method, so it's hard for me to say that there is one right way to hit a volleyball. This is one method that I have used and coached since 1987 and it has helped both the men and women that I have coached to generate a tremendous amount of force without putting a lot of strain on their shoulders. To everyone who has been helped, on the beach or indoors, by using this swing, thank you for watching my videos and I'm glad that I could help.

Hey Steve. It's Mike Heath from your volleyball past bruh. I haven't played any ball in a few years, and decided to go back down with my son. You know I'm older now and was looking at some hitting videos because of shoulder pain -ran into your videos. Love 'em. Will be trying to incorporate it into my game. Good to see you're still in the game and at an awesome level.

terlihat jelas putaran badan saat tangan lengan berada diatas, saya berfikir itu membuat spike menjadi lebih keras
