Before the summer ended I had wanted to take a trip out to Malibu once more hoping to find one of their Ex-ESD CCC's running. I was well aware that this idea was quite unrealistic and far-fetched, as I hadn't seen one out since March or April. I did find, however, UWS's one of a kind Volvo FE series Mini Pak-Mor collecting beach house recycling along Malibu Road, just meters above the beautiful Santa Monica Bay. I also saw a Mack LEU Amrep collecting trash, but since Kirk and Tony have so much footage of those, I decided to stick with the Volvo FE.
This truck is very unique as this older FE design was designed and probably built in Europe, not America as the American AB Volvo formed with WHITE and GMC to build the Xpeditor and WGs. Always cool to see a Euro design in the US. I'm guessing this was an early-mid '90s model. Thanks to Luis the driver and his assistant for letting me film them!
Enjoy this video and stay tuned for North Bay Corporation video next weekend.
