A VOLVO FH tractor arrived under its own power for repairs. The engine was running badly, Troilus. Initial diagnostics revealed that there was no compression in cylinders 3 and 4.
Initially, there was a suspicion that valves in this Volvo FSh truck burned out - therefore, to clarify the full picture, we removed the valve cover.
After that, it was immediately discovered - 2 broken off valves, a broken off nozzle, a broken sprayer on one of the nozzles.
It was not possible to inspect the cylinder with an endoscope, since the hole was clogged with something (the remains of a broken valve).
After removing the cylinder head, it was revealed that the cylinder head was broken (The piston beat the broken valve against the cylinder head. But we did not immediately find the remains of the valves (plates).
Therefore, we took all measures to find the valves (their remains in the D12A engine). Remains found in the sewer.
Further, it was found that the sleeve of the 3rd cylinder was also broken off; parts of it were found in the pallet.
This D12 engine was overhauled 400-500 thousand km ago.
We make repairs.
Thank you for watching!
