Volvo XC90 (275) D5 AWD came to our garage with engine malfunction indicator light on after scanning the vehicle the following DTCs were retrieved:
1) 18A0 : swirl actuator control - offset fault.
2) 1600 : Boost pressure sensor signal out of permissible range.
3) 1000 : atmospheric pressure sensor faulty signal.
4) 1890 : swirl actuator control - jammed.
5) 1870 :swirl actuator control - negative drift.
6) 1880 : swirl actuator control faulty signal.
after vsiol inspection of the swirl actuator control we found the linkage connected between swirl flap actuator control and swirl flap was excessively worn-out and resulted disconnected, so we renewed the linkage with genuine volvo part and road tested the vehicle but unfortunately 😕 probleb wasn't sold and the 1600 and 1000 DTCs have returned back to the ECM memory so, diagnosing and rectification procedures are recorded in this video.
