Athlon, Argos has o stop and only cost £360 with lifetime guarantee transferable guarantee. It parallax down to 10 yards at a very high magnification. Also illuminated and first focal plane. Look at vortex was out of stock at time. That's why I went for athlon.

I’ll have to take a look at them, not a brand i’ve come across before. James

Great review again thank you. I tried this scope. But personally the ret is to fine for me. I like sfp better. But who am I. But enjoy as we all do.

thats the joys with scopes; they are a very personal thing. what works for one won't always work for the next. thanks! james

Great review again. I’m currently running a Hawke sidewinder ffp scope on my impact mk 2 so was just if this scope would be an upgrade or more of a sideways move on that?

Great review have wanted to know if they are up to scratch and sounds like they are. I have a Hawke Sidewinder FFP and find it far too spongy on the clicks have even changed it and the replacement wasn't much better , plus the ret is far too thick for a scope of its magnification. I also have a PST gen2 and have to agree its one of the best scopes all round. Not sure if you have used the PST on the Crown but the 25m focus is actually fine at 10m but then i have old knackered eyes

See those were two of the reasons that made me look elsewhere over changing the sidewinders for ffp versions.... i’ve not put the viper on the crown, it was mounted straight onto the 6.5. Gets a bit costly swapping scopes around and having to rezero etc. James

Why not stay with the Sidewinder as they have a FFP? And cost about the same

The honest answer is at the time i just fancied a change; i already had a viper gen 2 pst on my 6.5 and was really impressed with the quality and performance, which swayed me more towards the diamondback over another sidewinder. James

Unfortunately ITAR amongst other things stops us buying from the States.... a shame as you guys have some cracking kit to choose from.
