Gosh I went to see them several times in London in the old days. Neil was good as well, could explain in English what they were up to. The vocals were just as good live as on record. Brilliant is all I can say

Oh, there are still people in the UK who remember their two years in the UK? I'm delighted to hear that. They cut a two-year contract with Arista UK in the U.K. and returned to Japan to try to expand into the U.S. However, they could not find a label in the U.S. to sign with, and the next album after "Helter Skelter" was produced by Bob Ezrin, known for Floyd's Wall, etc., but in the end it could only be released in Japan. After that album, the band broke up. Genki quit music and became a high school teacher. They were labeled as a band that failed in the U.K. and failed to make inroads in the U.S., and the members who continued their musical activities have been treated as if they have been forgotten by the front line since the breakup. Unfortunately, in Japan today, their much more junior band X Japan is regarded as the top band in Japan, and it is Loudness that has gained worldwide recognition, without VOWWOW's name ever being mentioned. They formed in Japan in 1975, before the metal genre was separated from the hard rock and heavy rock of the time, before Metallica and Iron Maiden had even appeared on the planet, even though they were already creating professionally. In that sense, I'm glad there are still people in the UK who remember their active years. They are going to reunite for one night only in June this year for a memorial concert for Niimi, the drummer who passed away last year.Considering their age, this will probably be the last time the surviving members of the band will get together on stage.
I discovered this band in 1983 with "beat of metal motion" .... the Vow Wow represent all the hard Power melodic rock ... Deep purple, rainbow, Michael schenker group, malmsteen, stratovarious, .... Highlord (do you know them?!?) ... even more
