it’s amazing how much power this engine makes for a v6, a 3.7 jeep engine for example makes only 200hp with the same displacement, i have a g37 and it’s one of the funnest cars i’ve drivin, throttle response is like nothing else i’ve drivin and it revs so fast thanks to vvel that you have to be very quick on gear changes but that just adds to the fun factor, adding a tune, exhaust system and proper cold air intakes really let’s these engines stretch their legs and feel even quicker then they already do, that plus the rock solid reliability means my next car will likely be another vq or the newer vr that replaced it, truly great engines

I love the VQ platform, even the older ones are really well built, I have 370z the thing about the manual transmission is it generate so much heat you can actually feel it coming from the shifter boot and near the acceleration pedal, they didn't use much isolating and damping materials for weight which I'm thankful for, the clicking noise coming from flywheel is awesome even if it sounds like an old truck, loving my 370Z! Hopefully next year I will go twin turbos for dem sweet boosts Also the 3.0 twin turbo 400z is VR30DDTT which basically GTR engine with less displacement and slightly "different", people seem to underestimate VR platforms because of less displacement, VR is much newer, better and advanced than the VQ which nissan used since early 2000s in almost all their models, you would be surprised when you drive Q50 or Q60 with the VR30DDTT and how responsive and quick they're

@@Kanchan370z nissan didn't cut corners on their engines and transmissions but they cut corners and reduce cost for important things that will cost so much to replace or repair for example the weak synchros, weak CSC and some other plastic that will wear out in five years, prolly nissan thought everyone will buy automatic

I disagree the vr30 is an open deck motor just like the vq37vhr. Yes the parts of the 3.0 is more durable and comes with twins but they are not as reliable as the vq37vhr. At end of the day your better of building a Forged vq37vhr single turbo and to have a 3.0 with shitty factory turbos
