Excellent video! I would like to add in that if you are looking to dance with all those trackers I have two recommendations. 1) The waist tracker, slide it over until it is on either side of your hip. You will need more than two base stations to pull this off, but now you can bend over and go to the floor and not lose tracking. 2) If you have knee trackers, try wearing them much higher up, top of your quads and have them pointing out at a 45 degree angle from your front, facing outwards on their respective directions. These two adjustments have been a major help for me.

It could possibly be that the trackers are using the connections from your headset and not from the dongles. The headset has two connections, for the controllers. Try turning on the controllers first, make sure they connect, then turn on your trackers and see if they all connect. Also make sure that all your dongles are connected to your pc

@LittleColteee

I’m a little confused by what you mean by “mains.” But I will say the best way to charge the trackers is to have a decided 10 port usb charger. You have power dedicated to charging them with a usb charger compared to from the pc which has to share power, making the charging speed slower.

It might be because you ran out of connections. Pair your controllers first, then pair your trackers second. If it’s telling you ran out of connections after that try checking your dongles. Great video! I love the idea of being in complete control of your virtual character, adding to that immersion. My question to you is (since I assume you’re in a dorm room) How convenient or inconvenient have base stations been for a semi small room? I am lucky to have a fairly big room to play vr in, but that’ll change when I move into my dorm and I just imagine lack of room for cable management, lots of fixtures and items to possibly block tracking, and the room size in of itself would decrease the convenience of spending upwards of $1000 for full range of motion
@LittleColteee
Жыл бұрын
Good question! I luckily have a small space so I can say from experience that biggest inconvenience is the amount of play space. More so, how far I can walk in vr. The base stations still function the same even if it’s in a small space, however, I would recommend to get 3 for smaller rooms since converage isn’t the biggest concern for dorm rooms. Wireless interference can also be an issue. That being said, it’s the convenience factor is not really about the base stations, it’s more so how much space you can utilize from those base stations. Room size definitely can hurt the experience.

I recently got my FBT, and slowly but surely getting more trackers as funds acrue, but went with Tundras and EOZ straps, if you can get the standard EOZ over the VRC, it's a 10 dollar diff, and the only difference is the label and the color, but both straps are identical from EOZ. I am glad I went with their straps over the Rebuff ones or something from Amazon, as where I live, those two, with taxes and shipping, come out to 5-15 bucks more than the EOZ, which is the reality I live, and quite happy. Main reason I went with the EOZ though, well thought foot straps, belt, and chest straps, especially the foot straps since I do prefer to be barefoot in the house and avoid socks like the plague when shoes are not worn, and the EOZ's just feel like soft martial arts shoes.

@LittleColteee
Жыл бұрын
Yeah I want to clarify that Vive 3.0 Trackers DO work with 1.0 base stations. Sorry about that. But yes both valve and htc base stations will work actually. The reason why I recommend the valve version compared to the HTC version is the fact that the valve version comes with better stuff and it’s cheaper ($150)compared to htc ($200) There is literally nothing better about the HTC version, it’s literally the same thing, just more expensive and the stuff it comes with is worse. I wish I was joking, but it’s true. Save your money get the valve version. 😛
