How do you feel about the new offerings from Nu Finish?

Just tried the ceramic coating on my truck. It works great, super easy to apply. Have always used original nufinish liquid but I like this better. Don’t have to worry about getting it on the plastic and leaving white marks.

The original Nu Finish was pretty amazing. I didn't believe anything could last a year but it held up pretty well. These new products look pretty good too. I found this same exact stuff for $4.99 a bottle and bought 2 of each... not knowing which would be better. They both seem to be good. Up until now I was using Turtle was hybrid solutions ceramic which is good too. I should do my own 3 way shootout and see.

@@BelLavoroAutoSpa thanks. I know some products are getting to be sunlight friendly and some are still enemies..lol... That's why I like the Meguiars Quick Wax I don't really like it as a drying aid because it will ruin the microfiber towels and not dry anymore.. but I use it after I dry the vehicle it's worked during the summer time. I charge an additional $10-20 depending on vehicle size

Excellent video. Ques: Is the Carpro Tar X representative of what might be encountered in the environment? If not, the graphene product might be the better way to go. The ceramic product did do a very good job. The proof of pudding is to put these products on a daily driver and check them periodically over the course of a year and report back. Yes, it's a big effort.
@BelLavoroAutoSpa

I think you are in to something with the ingredients. In Canada the ceramic one has a large flammable warning label right on the front. None of the other consumer spray coatings do. Feels safer (especially if inhaling overspray) to use other products like turtle wax etc that generally seem to be safer ingredients. The graphene instructions also say it can go on wet surfaces. So it might work nice as a drying aid too. Clearly it is water based.

Great job testing on the painted surfaces. However we all just laugh at advertisers who publish statements that say their product will "withstand 100 car washes" ... lol....what these companies should be doing is paying someone like yourself to run an independent test using a full time commercial truck being driven daily around a Great Lake state or in Ontario Canada to test both coatings. On a 10 year old acrylic truck head light casing . On the drivers side, apply the Ceramic, on passenger side apply the Graphene spray, Then let the truck operate as usual daily being blasted by the sun's UV, rain, snow. road salt, sand and the good old rust belt road grime found on all highways bordering the Great Lakes. Then at the end of one year friend you will have a compelling finding of who's the Boss of the DIY spray coasting NU Finish Ceramic or Graphene?

I’ve always used NuFinish original formula for years until yesterday when I purchased their NuFinish “Better Than Wax” Ceramic Spray. The original liquid polish is easy to apply and very easy to buff off, gives a great shine and a smooth glossy paint surface feel. The original NuFinish doesn’t smell very nice , a minor issue to me, and you need to avoid getting it on your rubber and plastics. Yesterday after washing my car and using a clay bar I found out that new the Ceramic spray is easy to apply but more difficult to buff out the streaking and also doesn’t give that super slick glossy smooth feeling on the paint surface, even after applying two coats of the Ceramic spray to all body panels after an hour.I discovered that I will also need to apply a wax coat over the NuFinish Ceramic to get that slippery, smooth paint surface. Also, I had to use three times as many microfiber towels using the ceramic spray vs the original NuFinish formula. One advantage to the Ceramic spray is you don’t have to worry about getting it on your rubber and plastics. Take my advice, Stick with the original NuFinish, it’s easier, gives a better shine and a smoother paint surface feel.

I thought so too. To be fake, Tar X is a really harsh chemical, it's solvent based and not much aside from ceramic coatings can fully reject it. I think real world it would gold up great, and it's super easy to apply if you want to top it up!

I've been using Turtle Wax 53409 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating. I thought it was the best ever until I did our Black cars. The TW leaves a greasy film that is really hard to polish out on a black vehicle. I eventually get it looking OK but WAY too much effort. I'm wondering what product would not leave streaks, an oily residue on black paint, and is non-abrasive? Thanks for the comparison testing. Excellent!
