First Ride out on the VT125 shadow in 7 years, got to the MoT station and it passed with no advisory.... But, yes theirs a BUT, after rebuilding and re jetting the carbs i have developed a flat spot 5000-9500rpm. so the pilot jets are good as all is fine to 5000rpm and after 9500rpm it picks up and shoots off so main jet is current too, so my guess is the needle needs the shims removing one or both, now considering it just miss-fired a little but no power in the mid range im guessing im too rich, so i will remove the shims and try again. i thought too lean but with no back fire down the exhaust im too rich... we shall see, till next time happy riding

ok after playing with the carbs and taking one shim out of the needles it made no difference, sooooo i have taken the carbs of the bike again and replaced the 82.5's jets with the 87.5 jets . getting close to the original 90's i had in before, will test tomorrow :)
