I really like the V-Tech handsets better. They've got better ringtones and better ergonomics, in my opinion.

I tend to agree. I’ve used a VTech CS5229-2 for a few years and then today, I switched to a AT&T EL51303; since my home phone provider gives me office phone capabilities and a voicemail system of it’s own. It doesn’t matter if the phone is branded VTech or AT&T. Both companies make phones out of the same factory with the same operating system, and they’re more reliable than most of the new Panasonic models.

So the trend continues of vtech having industry-leading speakerphone performance by a long shot.

Indeed. Quite impressed with what they produce considering the low price.

I think the oldest one with this feature set still under manufacture is the 6919. I've noticed they'll only keep a years-old model under manufacture if it has features the newer ones don't. For example, the AT&T TL86103 from 2013 is still sold new today, and is the newest AT&T 2-line corded/cordless Bluetooth model. Several years ago I thought only the latest models and those from the last year are the ones under manufacture and sold in stores. Vtech/AT&T may also make some models "web-exclusive", meaning they can only be bought from their website. I strongly advise not getting from there as they're a joke. I ordered a Vtech DS6401-16 handset and it got lost as it was transferring from UPS to USPS. Unfortunately Vtech/AT&T is also hit-or-miss depending on the model. The caller ID log on the IS8151 handset (2019 model still under manufacture) is a joke. To see the number, you have to press the NUMBER soft key when viewing an entry, but there's no such soft key when viewing during a call, so you can't see the caller ID numbers during a call, only the names, making access to the caller ID log during a call completely useless. Then again, why would you need to dial from the caller ID log during a call? Better off just not including the ability to dial from the caller ID during a call. The manual for the aforementioned model is also a joke. It's only available online, as Vtech, with the dumb excuse of saving trees, doesn't supply manuals with their phones anymore, while AT&T does. It also appears to be copy-and-paste from the 2017 AT&T TL96xx7 manual. At least on the high-end ones, the handsets are much thicker allowing them to stand up. The handset might've been having trouble standing up since it was on carpet. Maybe try using the wood when wanting to stand up the handsets.

Hi, I have this same model and would like to know how to deregister it so I can use it as an extension to my CS6529 base. Thanks.
