Living in Denmark, and being the owner of an ID.3 for almost a year, I have not have such problems you describe. I'm very happy with it!

I've had an ID3 for a year and agree with many of the points. However, for me the negatives are pretty minor in comparison with the positives of the car, so I'm overall happy with it. And hopefully the software will improve over time (3.0 should come in a years time).

I just hope it’s sooner than a year. We nearly had our ID3 for two years and VW are testing our patience. The alarm goes of randomly, the heater and seat heating goes to maximum on its own (just what we want at the moment), the infotainment system freezes and it changes randomly from mile/hr to km/hr. I have asked VW to prioritise our upgrades but no response. We like the car when it’s running ok but would you buy another VW?

@@pauldarlington9157 Seems like you've had much more problems than us. Maybe because it was an earlier car? We got ours one year ago and we've had some bugs, like the windows sometimes going in the wrong direction, but nothing major. I hope you can get your problems fixed, it's really not great for VW to release a car in that kind of condition.

@@LiiMuRi yes it was one of the First Editions and we appreciated there would be some issues, however what is disappointing is how long it is taking and the poor communications from VW on what the plan is to resolve the problems. We do like the ID when it’s fault free though .

So my new one already has 3.0, and apart from 1 or 2 small stutters it runs without problems. Even if the aunt still only has a joke on it.

We have had one for two years and totally agree. We like the car but the software and VW communications are terrible

I stayed away from an ID3 due to its price and software issues. I brought an E Golf in 2020 instead. I intend to upgrade to ID3 with the largest battery and heat pump.

For me the issue has always been software infotainment and ,touch buttons and a substandard rhd conversion vw needs to ditch this infotainment, move rhd light switches to the right , move the fusebox to the right or under the bonnet since it has so much space, battery heating was appalling especially on short runs if this was American vw would have had to buy all the mk1 back under lemon laws they would have fixed it probably a lot quicker but right now vw are clearly not working on things , the parts advalibilty has killed production in favour of the more expensive buzz first edition, they need to go fro. Whatever microtechnology chip /atom chip there using and get a app ryzen or something heck go full android it worked for polestar

Hopefully 2023 facelift improves all of the things you have stated in your video. Material quality is a big no no for me. It’s better in my polo

Yeah, ultimately they released a half baked product, I’m sure once they get it right it could be a fantastic car. Their approach to the software needs to improve significantly however. I have just recently seen a newly delivered 22 plate Tour version and it already had a slightly different style interior.

Ive just had my ID3 for 1 year and overall pretty happy with it. I agree with most of your issues you've had but a few I haven't seen on my vehicle. Yeah was quite unhappy with the fact that the scheduled charging did not work but then found out that my friends e-niro had similar issues. Overall Im happy with the build quality, ride, performance, great cruise control, interior space, awesome matrix headlights. Not so happy with scheduled charging so far and having to bring the car in for software update 2.4( hopefully the last). Ill be happy to live with this car for the next 8 years or so which should bring me into when EV's are plentiful and cheap(er) :)

UGLY and mostly OVERPRICED. By the way, VW must do something about the weight of this car. So overweight.

Make's me laugh how the police will nick you for touching your phone , but won't when your fiddling about with the huge touch screen that does everything in the car ? I'd say this is more dangerous to be honest 😮.
