Football is on the rise in Tamil Nadu. Chennaiyin FC are the most successful team in the Indian Super League. Chennai City FC were recently crowned the I-League champions. Sethu FC are the women's league winners while the state's girls team has been dominating the national championships recently.
In this era of Tamil Nadu football revolution, it is important to hear the story of North Chennai and their love for football. For years the region has been the hot bead for young footballers and have produced many football stars including the likes of Dhanpal Ganesh and Nandhakumar Sekhar.
The film explores the story of an NGO, formed by two local residents and former footballers, that is using the game to keep young kids away from gang wars and drug abuse in the North Chennai town called Vyasarpadi. A story of how a few individuals continue to defy odds and circumstances to produce world-class footballers. A celebration of the beautiful game!
