Wat Lokayasutharam (วัดโลกยสุธาราม - Temple of the Earth; spelled: "Wat Lokayasutha"; also known as "Wat Phra Non", วัดพระนอน - dormant Buddha Temple) or written: "Wat Lokaya Sutharam - วัดโลกยสุทธา(วัดพระนอน)", is a Buddhist temple in the historical Park Ayutthaya.
The huge lying Buddha statue is the main attraction of this temple. It is about 40 meters long and 8 m high and is composed of bricks and mortar. The statue is not as usual in East-West direction, but in a North South direction. The head is located on four Lotus buds and is supported by the right hand.
Originally, the statue was probably in a Viharn, of which only the foundations of 24 octagonal columns to see.
The statue was in 1954 by the fine arts Department (example: Academy of Arts) restored, donated the funds to the alcoholic beverage factory. In 1989, the statue was renovated again by the family of former Prime Minister Thawal Tata Giacobetti in his honor.
On the temple grounds, the foundations of an Ubosot are also to detect, at its four corners, each was a Chedi. A gallery (Phra Rabieng) was arranged around the Ubosot, from which even the foundations are to guess. The Thai Fine Arts Department has found during excavations heads of Buddha statues made of sandstone, which are now located in the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum.
