Thank you SO MUCH for these Wolfram Kandinsky uploads. I'm actually in awe at his readings, especially the Faulkner novels. They're more like performance art than just a book on tape. Do you happen to know if he did a reading of Rabbit Is Rich? I listened to your uploads of this and Rabbit, Run, and his voice is so welcome when it comes to this series I can barely imagine listening to any other rendition. I haven't been able to find mention of one online.

Thanks for your kind words, they mean a lot. I have more Kandinsky stuff to upload, I've just been lazy--- maybe your encouragement will motivate me. Kandinsky did not do a reading of 'Rabbit is Rich', one was done for Books on Tape, Inc. by Michael Prichard, who did an excellent job. I have the recording but I'm missing tape #8, so I'd have to substitute in Arthur Morey's reading for the missing material (and Morey's reading is available for sale). Hence the dilemma..... I'm always looking for more old Kandinsky tapes, if you ever see a stash for sale, please feel free to let me know. Kandinsky also recorded Updike's 'A Month of Sundays', 'Marry Me', 'The Coup', and 'Assorted Prose'.

I'll definitely let you know if I find any. The guy's amazing. I'll look for the Prichard reading but I might also just read a regular book copy of it and try to keep Kandinsky's voice going in my own mind as I read it. @@noochinator

@@brandonmacey964 It's from 1969 and tries to capture the zeitgeist of those days. it's not a pretty sight, or pretty listen. I see Rabbit Angstrom as Updike's imagining of what he would have become if he had stayed in his small town, working low-paying jobs. Updike's mother made his family move to a farm when he was a kid, she didn't want him to grow up in a small town and grow contented with small town pleasures: movies, soda fountains, etc. She wanted him removed from all those time-wasting temptations so he would focus on his writing-- and it worked....
