I would listen to Dan Ingram back in the days on 77 AM. But now, listening to this tiny portion of history, I can only say, MAAAAN he was really GOOD!

Wow, a twin spin by the Bee Gees. Dan ingram was a legendary Top 40 DJ. He sounded great in 78. Thanks for sharing this classic aircheck.

The music on this aircheck is all GREAT. Amazing time to be alive. I'm glad I grew up in the tri-state area (CT) and listened to WABC and all the great radio personalities they had. Harry Harrison, Ron Lundy, Chuck Leonard, and the man who made me laugh, Dan Ingram!

I have this very same aircheck in my collection! I dubbed it from a friend at WSTW in Wilmington in 1985. I guess there are more than just 2 copies floating around!

I've been dreaming of building my own 'time-machine' for years....The '70s were the best....when I was going through Junior & Senior High School (graduating "Class of '78")...would love to be back in those good years....with no real worries....and all that great music!

My favorite WABC jocks were George Michael, Dan and mini Dan (Bob Cruz). All three have passed, sadly. Remember when George did color on Islander games with Tim Ryan.

I could get WABC in Nashville at night. Seems like they boomed in here as hard as WLS and WCFL. I was just a kid in Elementary School, and like a typical boy, I had that AM Radio tucked in with me and my pillow. WABC was also a part of my childhood 🚀🚀🚀, the music and Disc Jockeys helped me blast into Dreamland, gosh I miss the 70s!

I Think WABC-AM 770 Should Have Stayed a Top-40 Rock And Roll Top-40 Station Until May-1990 And maybe Have It Simulcast On WABC-FM 95.5.

@port2344chester Oh man definitely! It's crazy, but, everytime I see pics of the beautiful New York City skyline I think of the 70s ...more than any other city in the U.S. don't know why. Designer clothes, clubs, music....yeah the late 70s, they were far out!

Good day The stress level was not as high back then,..yes I remember little fights & squabbles, but they came & went...they have more staying power now! Dan Hill was a household name..He is still making music you know..didn't go away! ......anyone join Me if I were to somehow make a time machine, & go back? BTW I'm bringing a hammer,...(to bust it after we arrive...so be warned)! :P
