This is the most refreshing “non Townes” version of this song I could ever imagine. Thanks for bringing this piece to life in such a beautiful way. Love your voice and that guitar reverb - an excellent listen.

Here I am 9 months later and for whatever reason KZitem algorithm decided to put this in my feed tonight. My last post didn't do it justice. This cover is amazing. Honestly I think I almost like it better than Townes own. I'm torn. To say the least though this is excellent. I love your voice, the feeling you put in it. Just great! In fact this song right here is worthy of a subscription. Why I was so reserved in my last post I am not sure, I guess I was still going through covers and I didn't completely realize at the time how truly exceptional this version really is. I have subscribed and I will definitely be going through your catalogue of songs. This is just immensely good.

That was very good. Tonight this song popped into my head for some reason not sure why, but I put on Townes here on KZitem from Heartworn Highways and listened to his version from the film I tell you what if watching him sing that with Uncle Seymour tearing up in the background doesn't get to you not much will. Anyway since then I typed in "Waitin around to Die covers" and I just been working down the list, I've heard some good ones but I have to say besides the original yours is the best I've heard so far.

Wow, you guys killed it and I really mean it or I wouldn’t have said anything! The guitar is so trippy and I love how you made this song your own vocally. Really cool cover.

This cover is amazingdefinitely one of the best ones I've heard. Now i was wondering if you'd allow me to use the cover in KZitem videos as an Intro/outro song. All credits will of course be in the description below each video the cover appears on.🙏

This is a great cover . I love the guitar part very rev horton heat ish . The vocals on point as well Great job guys. Townes is my all time favorite. I met him once when i was a 7 year old kid . He is God in Texas amoung musicians. His music was around me at a young age from my cousin who was featured in heartworn highways and mentored under Townes. He told me back stage at a show he played with bob dylan , Townes van zandt is the greatest songwriter to ever live. And it wasnt until I was a adult and really went down that rabbit hole , I knew and understood what he was talking about and was speaking truth . Silver Sails of Andiliar , Rake, and my favorite MR Mudd and MR Gold. He was THE poet. Love this you guys killed it. Its refreshing hearing a fresh take on this one because this is one of the most covered ones.

That’s because I feel it. It is true. I’m not a ridiculous tik tok person, I’m an artist that is struggling to break through and it’s just that… a struggle. So much that it’s painful 😓😓😓. Thank you for taking the time to listen. It means a lot.
