Lesson: Don't reduce the present moment to a means to an end. If you do this habitually you end up reducing huge chunks of your life to a means to an end or a 'waiting room'. Thank you for your wisdom Eckhart.

Sabrina Flows What do you mean? I am trying to learn how to be Present and I am frustrated that I don’t know how to do it or I can only it about a couple of minutes a few times a day. I got very down today thinking how so many people are able to do this and live this way. They say it has changed their life and that is what I need.
@sabrinaflows2671

Elaine Peltier For me, I sometimes think about events in the past or the future too much (and not in a reflective, helpful way to understand or learn more about myself), instead of acknowledging that the present moment is the only thing that actually exists! As Eckharte said in his book The Power of Now, learn to use clock time when dealing practical matters in life, but overthinking the past and future events is impractical and builds up ‘psychological time’, and when you’re stuck ‘there’ you’re diminishing the present moment ‘here’! You have the power to bring yourself back to the present moment each time you ‘catch’ yourself slipping into psychological time! Much love ❤️🙏🏻
@elainepeltier2015

Sabrina Flows Yes I do a lot of thinking about the past or the future. I will just have to try and catch myself more often. I think I expect too much very fast. As along as I am practicing then I should feel like I am learning and following Eckhart’s advice. Thank you very much for explaining about the clock time and Psychological time. Blessings 🙏💕

@@elainepeltier2015 do you meditate? If you don’t, very useful to start meditating 15min each morning and if you like 15min in the evening too. What it does naturally helps you to slip into present, good healthy diet(you start loosing weight with no dieting), you start looking at everything from a different perspective, life rolls smoother.

I also wish there was no Kim Eng living in your house. This is nothing personal; she could have had a different name altogether. When I listen to you & see you, I have immediate presence which I learned from you as well. When I see a bird on my lawn & watch it for many minutes, I am in deep meditation. I also learned this from you. I keep getting involved with you through KZitem & your own channels. I was at The School of Awakening & had another far out experience with you! Thank you for all & every thing you give to many others & of course me!!! May you go on with your goodness & let me know when you consider yourself as the real guru you truly are. Then you will not need any one person to share your self with (That was a joke)! All my love always & in all ways =•)

i'm sure there are some people who may find a blurb like this helpful but there is so much more to watching a video of a teacher like eckhart than a small summary does justice. the state of being is transmitted so it's often not really about the words. these are some facts i think people who write these summaries ought to know because if someone is new to the teaching, they may miss the real point of the video, by thinking it's just a concept that can be summarised. the teaching is given to connect with the being, the deep I that we are

Being in the present moment is being alive and living in the moment. Unfortunately a good part of my life had been rushing to prepare for the next moment, and the next moment, and the next. That was the cause of my fatigue at the end of the day, almost every day. Living in the present moment requires awareness and understanding. Rushing for the next moment could waste a whole life. Doing it right way by enjoying life by being in the present moment is healing and a feeling of gratitude brings health and well-being. Few decades ago, his book "The Power of Now" turned my life around... as I learned I was mostly living in the past and future. Since then, his book is among the best of my life manuals collection that I keep handy for guidance when I need. Thank you, Eckhart Tolle.
