Duke Fan here. Great to see Wake back in good form. Listening to Coach Forbes you can tell he is legit and will take this program as far as the athletics department will allow.

I've always liked how he defends the ACC and gives his opponents credit and respect, no matter who they are.

He outcoached Scheyer in both games, but this game his team didn’t shoot 22% from 3. And his 2nd half adjustment was what won the game in respect to emphasizing Carr in the post.

The phrase "would run through a wall for him" comes to mind. Not much more of a compliment you can give a coach. Go Deacs!

I’m glad you don’t like court storming. As a student at Duke, we were explicitly told we weren’t allowed to do it. The one time we did it was a wild buzzer beater (Sean Dockery against Virginia Tech), and even then we were told afterwards to never do it again, which we did not. Please make that clear to your student section. Wake Forest was favored to win this game and was winning throughout the second half. This wasn’t a court storm. This was a planned celebration. You could hear them on the main ESPN broadcast saying they were going to storm court over 10 minutes before the game ended. More of the same, I’ve been watching this for over 20 years. And quit with the now we should ban court storming. There have been injuries for decades. It’s not just dangerous for the student athletes of the losing team, it’s dangerous for everyone.

Basically in every arena, you are told to stay off the court at all times and if you end up on the court, you are illegally trespassing, arrested, and removed from the stadium. I try to defend court storming, but if players and fans are going to get hurt, there has to be regulations in place to stop this. Get the opposition safely off the court before fans storm the court. In this case, Wake fans were already on the court before the clock hit 0. And I didn't like it when Duke fans stormed the field against Clemson,, thankfully nobody got hurt.

The NET is absolutely internally flawed. Before the Wake Forest win over Duke, Duke’s NET was 12. BYU 11. Yet the 4 teams after BYU all had better Quad 1 wins. BYU HAS A LOSING RECORD TO QUAD 1 TEAMS!!! Yet they are rated above a handful of teams with better results. Efficiencies were supposed to be the 2nd predictor not the first predictor. Team Value Index, Who you beat and Where!!! Is supposed to be the biggest determinant, yet it can’t be. Same thing with Alabama earlier in the year. GREAT OFFENSE, NUMBER 1 Kenpom. But 7-5 and you are still ranked near Top 5???? The NET has internal failures. It clearly doesn’t value/weigh who you win and where more than it does with efficiency’s. Whoever created this metric needs to fix the kinks.

Way to go Wake. Seems like nearly every year the "experts" say the ACC is down, weak etc. And the ACC proves them wrong. They may not always win the National Championship, but there's usually a team that goes far in the NCAA tournament. If it were a series type tournament, similar to the NBA playoffs, I think the ACC would do even better. Anyone can have an off night or the opposite when you only have to play a team once. Look at Virginia the year when they lost in the first round. I'm fairly sure if it was a best out of three series, Virginia would've came out on top. I wish they would do that. That way there'd be more college basketball games to enjoy. The court storming incident was unfortunate. Besides the injury to the Duke player, it took away from the fact that it was a great game played by two talented teams. And they were lucky some of the fans and even Wake players weren't injured. I wouldn't have wanted to be in that mess with my family. Go Deacs!!!! Looking forward to the next game.
