There are 735 different species of bird and mammal in the UK so we are surrounded by great wildlife. Not as spectacular as a Cheetah or as colourful as a Bird of Paradise but just as vibrant and wonderful to watch. In fact maybe the elusive British animals are even more rewarding when you do see them! So it was I set out on a walk around my village determined to see how many species I could see. I had forgotten that early august is the moult yet there was still plenty to stir the emotions.
I hope you enjoy, Simon Booker.
As a photographer versus birder , I do get in a lot of trouble for some of my dodgy identifications. (shame on me) here are the amended names of my errors from a birding authority : (13) lesser black backed gull, (14) young black headed gull , (15) stock dove
All pictures in this video were taken in the South Stoke & Ipsden area of South Oxfordshire by Simon Booker using Nikon Z9 and Nikkor 180-600Z Lens or iPhone 11Pro.
