The park is located on Shirasaki Kaigan (Shirasaki Kaigan Prefectural Natural Park), which has been selected as one of Japan's 100 best beaches, and has many diving spots. It also has an auto campground, a shellfish exhibition hall, a restaurant, and a diving pool.
The entire park is surrounded by white limestone, creating a beautiful contrast between the blue sea and the iceberg-like white rocks, and is surrounded by rich nature. From March to July every year, large flocks of black-tailed black-tailed gulls fly throughout the park. It is a colony of daffodils. Admission and parking are free. You can also tour the nearby waters on a fishing boat.
The limestone is from the Permian period of the Paleozoic era, and fossils of fusulina and crinoids can be seen at the quarry site. Additionally, Japanese sea lions lived on Ashikajima Island, located within the park, until the Meiji era.[2]
In April 2009, the surrounding Shirasaki coast was selected as one of the 100 views of the Heisei era sponsored by the Yomiuri Shimbun.
