New Delhi, India | March, 2022: This is fifth in the series of videos where I am exploring areas around Connaught Place in Central Delhi. We've now been walking and exploring this area for quite some time.
This video starts off from the outside of the outer circle road as we walk from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg to Panchkuian Road along the direction of traffic. The sunny spring afternoon offers some stunning views of the Connaught Place outer circle and the trees lined along it. The clear blue sky for a soothing background adds an unusually pleasant touch to these visuals.
We take a left on the Panchkuian Road and keep walking on the left side of the road until we observe the Delhi Metro line tearing through the earth, converting from the underground to the overground mode. We then cross the road from right under the metro line and reach the right side of the road in search for quieter more peaceful spaces.
We continue walking until we reach the RK Ashram Metro station right alongside the Paharganj neighborhood of (old) Delhi. This neighborhood lies just beyond the boundaries of New Delhi. Soon we take a u-turn and start walking back towards Connaught Place, this time taking a lucky left turn to find the quieter Basant Road and Basant Lane which help us get back to Connaught
Place outer circle.
We then cross the outer circle road to reach back at what is the H-block of Connaught Place. Finally, we walk back against the traffic and towards the next adjacent block - the G-block - and end our walk alongside the parked cars and the big green trees.
