I think keeping the tank in the stock location is your best option if your track racing. Mainly because the amount of fuel in the car will change the car’s dynamics if it’s in the front or rear

For my '94 Pickup (aka Hilux), I tried to find right-hand-drive market left seat/parts because it's the un-worn passenger seat in those countries. Instead, a local upholsterer had a great idea. He harvested the factory upholstery from the rear jump seat covers and made a new driver's seat cloth/vinyl cushion cover. He rebuilt my torn-up driver's seat with different foam densities and factory-looking vinyl piping. The rear jump seats? He made new vinyl covers from scratch. Did everything in three hours. Looks original and I have a supportive seat to sit in.

@@FredAllenBurge If you find some good MR2 passenger seats, an upholsterer maybe could refurbish your driver's seat. Btw, my '94 is factory Super Red truck.

For the seats, have you thought about OEM BRZ seats? They fit with the DK Imports bracket and there's red accents that would match your car. It's OEM looks without the flashy of an aftermarket seat company. Love your car.

Very nice MR2, this is a bucket list car for me. I like the intake, but no filter is very risky. I would build the intake similar if it was my car, but i would have designed it to accept a K&N panel filter for either an engine air box or cabin filter at the scoop. Good job💪

Yeah, I get it. All that work to clean up the bay, good job too, and then to spoil that nice clean look... maybe purchase an upmarket brace to match the bay? After all, with that much horsepower rigidity is always helpful...

I've heard that the seats from a BRZ/86/FRS fit pretty nicely in 2nd gen MR2's, so it might be a good option since you're looking for a mostly stock look. You could also get an old 90's supra/celica steering wheel, they look pretty good and don't look out of place.

Hey thinking about engine swapping my 93 mr2 with a 4th gen caldina engine. Any beta on going with this engine? Or would it be simpler to go gen 2 or gen 3?

Gen4 is great. I just so happened to have blown it up this week though lol. Gonna make a vid. But ya go gen4 if you are good with sub 450rwhp. Over that you'll want on eof the other options.

The 4th or 5th gen 3SGTE is a great option for an engine swap. It has more stock power, a quicker spooling turbo, and more modern design. The only downsides I would say is that they have weaker stock connecting rods compared to the earlier models, plus the turbo options are very limited (if you retrofit a gen 3 exhaust manifold, you have the same turbo options as a gen 3 motor). I upgraded mine to a Gen 4 years ago and have no regrets.

did you remove all of your underbody aero panels? These things use them for cooling the engine (it's designed to not only reduce all your drag under the car, but also act to ram-air under the engine to cool it, the vents at the top is where it exits. If you took them off because you don't care about them, i'll buy them from you. Also, since you moved the fuel tank, wouldn't that greatly hurt the handling? Not that it looks like you track this car, but that seems like weight distribution suicide to remove center mass and add it at the extreme rear.

Its wasn't a great idea to put the cell where I did but it works ok. I may move it to the frunk eventually. Under panels are still there.

Do you eat gauge clusters for food or something? Also, probably want to put the stock heat shield on the turbo? It looks good if you get it re-powdercoated and put new bolts in it.
@twrcrew8852

pointless. Turbos generate so much heat that they'll put surface rust on any bolt you put in there within a couple drives.
