Yesterday we had a reprieve in the almost constant wind and rain, and the sun graced us with its presence. We decided to head off on a mini adventure to a favourite place and a new discovery.
We passed the sign for Crom Church many times on the way to Enniskillen, so we decided it must be investigated. Down a long winding, ever narrowing road, we came to a dead end on the beautiful peninsula of Derryvore. The majestic Crom Church sits within an ancient woodland overlooking the shinning waters of Lough Erne.
It is a peaceful place, inhabited by the memories of the past, dancing autumn leaves and the soothing sounds of silence.
Next, we headed to one of our favourite places, Drumlane Abbey, a stunning early Christian monastic site on Garfinny lough.
