This is the Rotherhithe Road Tunnel in London. It crosses under the River Thames between Rotherhithe and Limehouse. It was constructed between 1904 and 1908 opening in June of that year. It's quite rare in that you can actually walk through it unlike the Blackwell or the Limehouse Link Tunnels. In September 2018, it was assessed the ventilation system was inadequate and needs upgrading. Transport for London put restrictions on the types of vehicle that can use it. Vehicles over 2 metres high, 2 metres wide and 2 tonnes in weight can no longer use the tunnel. Width restrictions have been put in place at the entrances but that didn't stop several vans passing through! They could be issued a fine for using the tunnel.
Walking through the tunnel which is just under a mile long was quite horrible with the fumes, around 34,000 vehicles pass through the tunnel daily!
