A beautiful film! I'm in love with the SDW - walked it twice - and this film evoked the atmosphere of the downs extremely well.

So glad you enjoyed the film. It seemed silly not to do it as I can just leave from my front door! I loved the landscape and especially enjoyed the last day.

Extraordinary weather. It was all new to me and walking along the sweeping cliffs at the end was spectacular. Thanks for watching and commenting Anthony.

Stunning hike and video again Catherine! Great weather and light all the way on this one. Especially enjoyed your last day, what a beautiful morning to wake up to. I have visited The Birling gap and Seven Sisters many years ago so it was lovely to see it again!👍👍

What a lovely nostalgic video for me. The part that I missed was the Ditching Beacon section a great favorite section for me some 60 years ago where I first saw a "Brocken Specter" looking down towards Ditchling Village. As I know you are from NZ we have had our first hurricane due to climate change, 200 km winds in Canterbury.

Glad you it brought back some good memories. I did zoom past Ditchling Beacon without filming much I'm afraid. Am actually from Tas originally, but my sister is in Dunedin and I've visited a few times. The weather everywhere is haywire.

A lovely film, in one of my favourite parts of the country and you’ve captured the beauty and serenity of the ancient landscape so well. There’s a very nice camp site at Graffham, camping among the trees, for anyone wanting to do more exploring in that area. But there’s just so much to see along the Way. Thank you for sharing your journey.

So glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the suggestion of the Graffham campsite - I passed a number on the way. It was beautiful weather for October so I was very lucky to be out on the Downs in the sun.

Great walk, looking forward to doing the same this autumn. Can you supply/ send the campsites you stayed on, I’m told that camping might be difficult on the trail and you look to have found some great places to stay. Thanks

Glad you enjoyed. I broke my phone tripod on the 1st day so feel this vid is a bit overly hand-held, but never mind. I found all these campsites online, and they were: Hyden Farm (had hoped for the Sustainability Centre but left it too late to book). Manor Farm campsite, Cocking Foxleigh Barn campsite, Amberly White House campsite, Steyning Housedean Farm campsite (was lucky, they have a short season) Alfriston Camping Park, Alfriston These were all on or near the path and none cost more than £18. Hope that's helpful.
