Moalvi Bazaar in Tehran is one of the roofed markets that dates back to the time of naseredinshah and is very busy. This market is located in the west of Tehran and due to its special appearance, it is always attracted by many travelers and tourists. During the time of naseredinshah, Tehran was surrounded by fences and few people could enter Tehran, but during the Pahlavi regime, these fences were removed and the way was opened for people to visit this market and other areas of Tehran. Molavi Bazaar was actually a ditch that was built during the Qajar era by the order of Naseredindinshah . During the Qajar era, this area was named after Ismail Bazaz, who was one of Naseredinshah's clowns, but later on, at the request of Reza Khan, its name was changed to Molavi Bazaar.
