Most Xiaomi stuff can only legally sold within China, and ALL buildings in China are made with steel and concrete, so noise problem doesn't exist unlike most residential apartment buildings in the U.S which are all made with wood.
@yay-cat
4 жыл бұрын
H W a steel and concrete structure will also transmit impact noise. But because this is a walk pad and not a treadmill the landing impact noise will not be worse than impact noise from normal walking upstairs and as walking sneakers are soft soled I imagine that it wont be a problem for most apartments. But for a treadmill that you run on you would need special isolation pads (like a sylomer foam or perhaps even feet with springs in) as the foot strike impact from running will transmit through gym equipment. This advice assumes that you are worried about impact noise. airborne noise (maybe you can hear them talking?) means that you probably have a hole or “thin spot” in the floor/ separating partition.
@pjmsparkle5104

H W steel and concrete actually transmit sound faster than air Sound travel through Air,Water and solid objects, steel and concrete are very compacted which means that it transmit the sound faster so your explanation makes logically no sense.

I have bought a Walkingpad A1. It is much better, than the usual Amazon Threatmills. But the rollers are squeaking sometimes. So i guess, there are no ball-bearings inside. Therefore i would not to pay over 350 $. If they build it with ball-bearings, it could be the best threatmill on the earth. I enjoy to walk on it.

I own the R1 and the setup time isn't that much different if you compare like-for-like (for walking speed). You would just move the R1 bars without lifting it up, and then you can just open the pad to use. You only need to lift up the bars if you want to get running speed. Only improvement I would like is to have a stowable power cable somewhere on the frame.
